    "An amazingly sweet story"

This book catchs the magic of talking, thinking animals. Two canine parents set across country to rescue their puppies and find many friends and surprises along the way. I read the book many, many times as a child and still enjoy the story as an adult. Needless to say the book is MUCH better than the cartoon/movie.

    Story
"Charming, and Slightly Different than the Movie"

The story is delightful, and the narrator is quite good. There were some notable differences between the classic Disney animated movie and the book, though for 90 percent of the book the film was quite faithful.

    "Not the Disney version"

Quite different from the Disney story, this original version of 101 Dalmations is entertaining for kids and adults alike. The narrator does a wonderful job of making each character distinct, and the story itself is terrific.

    Story
    "a dogs tale"

The book of the 101 dalmatians, surprised me as I read it. It is rather different then the movies, and not just for the better. Mostly it is a good book, where the dogs tale unfold for your eyes. The story is quite more detailed and emotionel then the movies. Yet, here you follow the dogs, not the humans.
I miss the scenes with the brothers chase of the puppies, and all the accidents and hardship they endure.
This is the part I miss, and that is why I only give it 3 stars.
Do not misunderstand, it is indeed a good book, that deserves to be read.
