According to Pastor Mark Batterson in this unabridged audio download, The Circle Maker, “Drawing prayer circles around our dreams isn’t just a mechanism whereby we accomplish great things for God. It’s a mechanism whereby God accomplishes great things in us.”
Do you ever sense that there’s far more to prayer, and to God’s vision for your life, than what you’re experiencing? It’s time you learned from the legend of Honi the Circle Maker - a man bold enough to draw a circle in the sand and not budge from inside it until God answered his prayers for his people.
What impossibly big dream is God calling you to draw a prayer circle around? Sharing inspiring stories from his own experiences as a circle maker, Mark Batterson will help you uncover your heart’s deepest desires and God-given dreams and unleash them through the kind of audacious prayer that God delights to answer.

I liked the message of the book the most. I liked the lengthy and repetitive nature of the book the least. The entire point could have been made in a much shorter version of the book. It also leaves one feeling that "all you have to do is pray like this, and see....your prayers will all be answered like ours were." I believe the author is sincere, not arrogant. Just leaves those of us with unanswered prayers wondering what we did wrong.
I'm a pastor in a church in Big Flats, NY, between Corning and Elmira. I have served here 32 years. I enjoy listening to Audible books while I'm working out at Planet Fitness, or while doing outside work on my day off. I normally listen to books on 2x.
YesThis book will challenge you to pray with faith, pray big, and pray with perseverance! The focus is on God who loves you and is for you, and will give you answers to prayer greater than you pray for.
The story of getting the theater in Barracks Row
It will be hard to put it down once you start
You really will leave this book uplifted and ready to devote your time and effort to prayer and living a big life for gods glory.
The flow was very smooth this was my first Audible book...
Batterson is one of my favorite authors and I've read all his books. His writing is very relational and this was the first audio book of his that I have reviewed. I'm in a very busy season and reading has been difficult. I was interested in this book and was able to experience it in spite of my busy schedule with the Audiobook... Great job Pastor! Loved it!
yes. Changed my prayer life. This book made me rethink my faith and how I looked at prayer.
This was a new way of thinking about the relationship between God and humans. Some of the things I didn't agree with. But most of my problem was the reader (author). He sounded like a TV paid advertisement spokesman. I felt he was trying to sell me something at the end of a long presentation.
Great principle to incorporate into life.
It is always interesting to hear the voice and emphis the author adds to the book.
Yes- helps put your prayer life into perspective.
Forceful, loud, commanding
Repetitive but needs to be
His testimonies of God's miracles were encouraging! I would love to read a sequel! I heard him in person last year and was thrilled to listen to the audio book!
The audio version is great for slow readers and those who like to multi-task.
I pray more specifically and intentionally.
The author is animated in his presentation and provides stories to illustrate his points.
