A PASSION FILLED EXCITING GEORGIAN ROMANCE

Just when I thought I could finally get some sleep...... Sylvia Day brings out yet another must have listen in her Georgian series and once again I'm totally hooked.

This was particularly good - childhood sweethearts Colin and Amelia lose touch but eventually reunite years later unfortunately it's at the worst possible time for both of them (isn't it always!) as she's getting engaged to a long-time friend and Colin is a spy who's undercover and who want's her and out of the spy business. This is sooo touching as Amelia's torn between old love, a friend's love and a new exciting love and Colin has to fight hard first to try to stay away from her then to fight for her.

It's go passion, heartbreak, sex, tension, excitement and brilliant romantic characters to empathise with - there are some characters that we know well as we have met them before in previous books so, to get the most out of this series, they're not really meant to be stand alone listens. There's some bad language too so it may put some of you off.

Worth a credit? Again, and I've said it before in my previous reviews, it's a cheap series to just buy and we'll worth it - however I would gladly have used credits.

I Have a Passion for Sylvia Day

Sylvia Day has a passion - a passion for writing exciting and heartfelt romances that really grip the reader and force you to hang on for the adventurous ride in which her stories take you.

Colin and Amelia are a perfect match. They both try to do what is right, and what they think is expected of them, and (more often than not) to their own detriment.
Both stubborn and unwilling to yield - except for in the bedroom! - what ensues is a roller coaster of emotion, passion, and misguided sensibilities.

Well written and with great characters that you want to hate but ending up falling in love with, A Passion For Him is another success.

Worth the price

Cheaper than most paperbacks so why not settle back and listen to a little Georgian romance?

Collin and Amelia are star crossed lovers divided by bloodlines. She's a peer of the realm, he's a gypsy stable boy. Their love propels their paths together and then away, flash forward several years and Amelia thinks Collin has died (although how is never explained) and Amelia finds loving another man that's not Collin impossible until a masked stranger comes into her life and upsets everything she has settled into. Now she must choose between reckless abandon or staid security. The choices she makes will forever alter everyone's lives.

I liked how this story dives right in and captured my attention. I had never read one of Slyvia Day's books before so I didn't know what to expect, unfortunately for me this is a series and many characters from other books find their way in and out of the story making this book hard to stand alone. I would reccomend starting with book one and progressing from there. I often lost track of characters, playing a game of "who was that again?"

While I can't say this book is stellar it is a nice story and at just over $7 it's worth the price. Justine Eyre gives an admirable performance as the narrator, not my favorite but still pleasant to listen to. The sex scenes are a bit graphic so be fore warned. I did not take offense but some might. The story is confusing at times if your not paying close attention but other than I would say its good.

Not the best of the series

The use of entire pages exactly quoted from the previous book supposedly dreams was not well done or effective. A little more effort might have made the scenes dreamlike if in fact they are necessary at all.

I'm afraid this flaw really ruined the book for me.

Missing the little details

Amelia's attraction to the masked Count and the intimate details of their affair was intense, but it lacked the quality of the other books in this series. I think that there needed to be less about the other love affairs and more focus on Amelia and the Count.

As for the performance, Justine Eyre is amazing and captures each character perfectly. I really enjoy her skills as a narrator.

Yet Again...

I like this series for the most part but I just really wish that every single book didn't feature male characters who expect chastity from their female counterparts but then proceed to nail anything that moves. And this book was even worse because Colin literally mansplains to Amelia how men need to "release their seed" and how men are able to separate sex from love while women can't. My eyes rolled back into their head so hard I'm surprised I couldn't see the inside of my skull.

Excellent story !

Any additional comments?

This was an excellent read. I really enjoyed the story line very much. The only thing i did not enjoy was the ascent's of the male characters. The story keeps your interest till the very end. :)

Great story

There is so much suspense and intrigue and the storylines are true to the characters. I blame the book for many late nights finishing one more chapter before bed.

Amazing performance!

I really enjoy Sylvia Day’s writing, and it was so beautifully performed by Justine Eyre! She did an amazing job—even nailing the male voices and foreign accents of some characters. Her talented voice really added to the drama and sensuality of the story.

Seems to me like a lot of Sylvia Day's early work was in Historical romantic fiction. This book is really well written, as well as several other she's written in this Genre. Justine Eyre. Narrates a lot of these books . She does a Phenomenal job .They're hard to put down . They are the kind of books you wanna listen to over and over k
