Excellent narrator

I love Amanda Ronconi so much. I enjoyed this book but wonder what happened to our couple in the future. As far as I can tell there are no further adventures. That bums me out. This series has been enjoyable. The best part is always Amanda's narration. I don't always like Garnet but it is still a worthwhile read.

Great narrator, stupid heroine

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The heroine behaves in stupid ways. She is a smart witch but oh my god, she ruminates for hours then behaves in a very scatterbrained manner.

What could Tate Hallaway have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Garnet could be a great heroine but in Honeymoon of the Dead, she out does herself in transparent and ridiculous schemes that anyone can see through. She doesn't want to tell Sebastian about the hotel room trashed by Lilith because he'll be mad. What is this--I Love Lucy? Ricky will be angry so Lucy must think up a way to distract him?

Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Amanda Ronconi saved this book and the series. Thanks to her skill, you can forgive garnet's ridiculous musings. Ronconi can read (almost) anything and make the it sound better than it was written.

Was Honeymoon of the Dead worth the listening time?

No. I couldn't finish it because one foolish decision begets another until you want to smack garnet. My friend couldn't get through the first book because garnet irritated her too much. I made it to the 4th book!

This one was just so-so for me

I was really looking forward to this book, but it just seemed to ramble. It was harder to follow than the previous books in this series. I listened to it again hoping to like it better, but the best I can do is a three-star rating for the story. It was still interesting for me because of the continuing adventures of Garnet and Sebastian, and it had its romantic moments, but . . .

Amanda Ronconi's narration was excellent as usual.

What did you like best about this story?

the whole thing. characters are well developed and consistent throughout. the slightly sarcastic tone enhanced the narrative and well, i laughed myself silly. a few tears too...

no favorite as there was always more

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

absolutely! after listening to one of the books i bought the rest and listened to them all, forsaking all others loaded on my ipod!!

Loved the series

I won't give any away but if you intend to the series pay attention. some reviews I found were incorrect in saying things don't get explained or that some "back and forth" of emotions don't make sense. in life who has not had MANY moments of procrastination and indecisiveness? I have them daily.... give a listen and decide for yourself...

she's done better

It was good to see all the characters again but the story was weak. Also, she attempts to write erotica but it's half-assed. If you're going to write a sex scene then write a sex scene don't half-ass it and then state "she came".

Fun light hearted story, Less intimate better.

Fun enough, enjoyable. Light hearted. Good character development. No lasting literary value other than a story heard. Nothing to ponder or reflect on. Completed 4 books in 4 days. Could very much do without the intimate details of whats in who literally worded as such. This wastes about 10 minutes of a 9 hour book. Would consider the stories as rated R at least. Would consider other books by author.

I have enjoyed the whole series. I'm a huge Amanda Ronconi fan.

Hallaway crafted a great world and story that is relatable and fantastic. I would like to know more about Izzy, Mat and Hero, maybe an off shoot for them and William? Or maybe we could go backward in Sebastian's life? Life the Half-Moon Hallow series, all I can say in, "More please?"

These books need to be longer...

I like these books...they just need to be a bit longer. The stories are good, I like the main characters and the narrator is awesome!
