Many years ago, I read this series and the Crystal Shard trilogy when they were first published and have followed the life and experiences of Drizzt the Drow Elf for many years. When it was released by Audible on audiobook, I was excited to jump back in and re-live those stories...I am so glad I did. Hearing these novels read by Victor Bevine is fantastic! His voice is perfect and he brings each character to life in their own unique way! Have downloaded this trilogy and the Crystal Shard trilogy to listen to again and again. I'm also sharing these audiobooks with my 10 and 11 year old children and teaching them the principles of the books...you can rise above your environment. You can become whatever you want, and living a principled life may not be easy, but it is worth it! Thanks Audible for bringing me back to these great books!

essential forgotten realms book

not only an essential tome for understanding the horrors and wonders kf the underdark. but also a very good book

Many twists and turns!

This is yet another amazing installment in the Drizzt series. Some new and interesting characters. Some old and somewhat different characters. Hard to put down!

Outstanding

This story was absolutely incredible.
Victor Bevine was also the best choice for narration here.

Always a fan

I've always been a Drizzt fan, from his first appearance. it's great having the opportunity to listen , especially with a great narrator.

great book and reader not so good recording volume

Story is great and the reader portrayed it very well. Was sometimes very difficult to hear the reader at times.

story and book are great. narrator not so much...

Victor bevine doesn't know how to say "short lived" as well as other common English phrases. Other than that, it's a great story and book. but Victor leaves much to be desired

I loved reading these books in my youth. With this medium the stories come more to life and are a great listen

Great book 2 of 3..this one was action packed on to the next one!
