"Quick ending"

"Narrater is bit slow, but the story is good"
Where does Cruel and Unusual rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?It was somewhere in the middle. It was a good story, but the narrator and end/beginning of chapters editing drove me nuts! the breathing of the narrator was obnoxious and the chapter would end and you would here a snippet of the next one before they would edit in a (way to long) pause, then start the next chapter. Many times I thought my ipod had turned off.
What did you like best about this story?The suspense and the forensics were interesting and the only thing that got me through this horrible performance. I will probably read the other books in this series rather than listen because of the narrator.
Would you be willing to try another one of C. J. Critt’s performances?Not if I can help it. It was horrible and they obviously had not done any research into how the names of machines and procedures were said and pronounced. AFIS was not said as a word, but rather constantly spelled out and even just watching one episode of CSI would have told the narrator that it is never said as that way. The breathing and slow reading was really disinteresting and as a result I found myself zoning out instead of listening to the story in my ear.

Any additional comments?Don't bother with the audio book of this. Read the hard copy or skip this series because of the narrator. I wish I could get my money back for this one.
