The Iranian effort to develop nuclear weapons was the inspiration for this tale of spies, assassination, skullduggery, military action, and political intrigue.
Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is the Devil's Disciple, and he has a plan. With 12 nuclear warheads mounted on 12 missiles, he will make Iran a martyr nation; then he will lead the world's Muslims in a holy war against Western civilization. It is up to Jake Grafton and Tommy Carmellini to save the world as we know it from the clutches of Islamic fascist fanatics.
As hot as today's headlines, The Disciple is Stephen Coonts at the top of his game. Spies, soldiers, scholars, fighter pilots, patriots, traitors, presidents, and ayatollahs are all here within the pages of The Disciple. Not since Cuba has Coonts written a novel as big and bold as this, a novel that catches the dreams and aspirations of a nation.

"another fine book from Coonts"
Another fine book from Coonts. I found this book just as entertaining as I have all the Jake and Tommy adventures. Coonts has changed his style somewhat over the years and I like it. Of course his works are fiction and he can do what ever he wants but he has toned down the oh sure factor. The Disciple has just the right amount of wait a minute this might happen in it.
"Worst reader EVER."
I am soooo disappointed in the choice of Eric G. Dove to read this book. His accents are aweful. His pronunciations are worse (ie. SABO is not the pronunciation of SABOT), he reads too slow.
Dennis Boutsikaris IS Tommy Carmellini.
If Eric G. Dove is continues to read for this series, then I for one will not be buying the next installment.
"A Big Disappointment"
The book itself is in keeping with the rest of the Jake Grafton and Michael Carmolini series. The Narrator was terrible. It was hard to get into the book. Why did you all mess with a winning combination of story line and important narrator. the Narrator took a good book and made it terrible!!!
"Wooden Narrator"
The story's good, but the narrator is wooden. The other narrator for this series is much better.
Dont let the narrarator ruin your listening to a good book! I read waaay to many "critics" who go on and on about a bad narrarater, so what!
"i thought it was great entertainment"
Written with the usual grafton/carmellini interplay and wisecracks, several funny scenes, the Israelis who keep stealing tanks is especially funny, the ineptness of the iranian government types, etc. this could be a fictional version of near future events, (I HOPE)
"Very enjoyable"
I Liked The Disciple (Unabridged) by Stephen Coonts. Perhaps this isn't his best work but I loved it. It is very realistic and could potentially happen, sooner than later. Well worth the download and time. I love Stephen Coonts' books.
"Great Book!"

Different characters for numerous reasons!

"Interesting chain of events."
Jake and Tommy make a good team and the decisions they have to make with the information at hand.
