"Excellent Series"
A very good series that has a spin that keeps you coming back for more.
Once again the dialog between characters was difficult as it seemed they never get to the point but continue to talk in circles like everyone assumes everyone knows what is going on. Other than that I found the book delightful.
Wendy is faced with the loss of her mother, the overbearing force of her farther killing off her kingdom and trying to please people who have no faith in her. Making sacrifices is not easy when the mass is not on her side. But running away is not an option anymore and she tries to figure out how to save her kingdom without the loss of life to her people.1 of 1 people found this review helpful -
"Wonderful Ending"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?Yes. The Trylle Trilogy was incredible. Amanda really knows how to captivate those who love phantasy stories. I could not wait to listen to the the last book of the serie. The three books were wonderfully written and captivate you. The ending was amazing.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Ascend?It was when Wendy finally admits loving Loki and spends the night with Loki during a time of a lot despair.
Have you listened to any of Therese Plummer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?Yes. Is listened to Torn. In both cases the performance was excellent. It was the best performance from the books I heard so far.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?Yes

"Great Series"
I was surprised at how much I liked this series. I picked the first book out just browsing for something to listen to. I enjoyed it so much I ordered the rest of the trilogy and listened to the whole series very quickly. Therese Plummer did a great job with the narration.

"Good girl Wendy! I now love you."
Would you listen to Ascend again? Why?I would. It's a great story about love, sacrifice, duty, honor. I love the happily ever after of course.
What did you like best about this story?Wendy steps up her game, finally! She puts her kingdom first, good girl. She manages to be a good Queen, a fierce warrior, and get the man she wants in the end. Oh and stop a brutal war.
Have you listened to any of Therese Plummer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?She does a great job!

"Good Story.....but you need the series...."
I loved this story....a good series for younger readers as well as adults. I would recommend to anyone that likes a little of the mythical mixed with the 'real' world.

"Poor Character Development"
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?It was ok. The narration was good, but the story lacked the character development to really keep my interest.

"Good ending to a good series!"
Would you consider the audio edition of Ascend to be better than the print version?Yes, I prefer audible versions to the print versions 98% of the time. I enjoyed the narrator in all of the books.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Ascend?The confrontation was the most memorable moment. It was both climatic and fulfilling to the reader.
Have you listened to any of Therese Plummer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?I have listened to all of this series books with Ms. Plummer's narration. She has mastered the voices in this series very well.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?GOOD VS EVIL; AN EPIC BATTLE.
Any additional comments?This was a great ending to the series. I read through all of the books within two weeks and am satisfied with the outcome. Good read.

What does Therese Plummer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?Her dramatization was very good. Felt like i was actually listening to the real characters speak.

"Awesome Trilogy!!!!"
Where does Ascend rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?The Trylle Trilogy, Switched, Torn and Ascend. I loved the series so much I couldn't wait for the order to come in at our library where I'm a librarian so i downloaded it as soon as I could because I wanted to know what was going to happen
Who was your favorite character and why?Wendy Everly, Loki, Finn, Willa and how could I forget Duncan he was a bit of a dork but he had a big heart. So as you can tell I can't find just one character as my favorite.
What does Therese Plummer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?Very good expression and emotion.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?When Wendy's mother Told her that she loves her and is proud of her? And then her mother sadly passes away.I hope I don't give to much away

"Worth the time"
Would you consider the audio edition of Ascend to be better than the print version?No, not better, but audio is the only way that I get to keep up with my reading. I read, or listen to, about 2 books per week. Without audio books it would be one a month.
