When Link joined his best friend, Ethan Wate, on a quest through a mysterious network of underground passageways endlessly crisscrossing the South, he knew the journey would be dangerous. But returning home to Gatlin, South Carolina, was just the beginning....
Wounded during a climactic battle, Link discovers that tending his injuries won't be as simple as visiting a doctor, and that healing his arm should be the least of his worries. For being bitten by a Supernatural does more than break the skin - it changes a person, inside and out, turning Link into someone more and more like the dark creature who injured him.
In this never-before-seen short story by New York Times best-selling authors Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, listeners witness Link's heart-racing transformation. Dream Dark is set before the much-anticipated third Beautiful Creatures novel, Beautiful Chaos, and as a special bonus includes an exclusive sneak peek at the first five chapters.

"Awesome story, but way to short"
The story is awesome. The story occurs between "Beautiful Darkness" and "Beautiful Chaos". A true Casters fan will definitely want to hear it, but don't spend a whole credit on it. Pay the $3.29 instead. Although it says it is 3:23:40 long, the actual story is only 1:15:30 The rest of the time is the first three chapters of "Beautiful Chaos".
I love audible. I discovered it as a solution to my long drive (30mi each way) back and forth to work. This is my down time after work.
"Great Connection"
Great connection between the books. wish it was longer. i enjoy short stories from other characters point of view in the main story.
"Interesting, but not worth the money"
It was fun to hear Link's side of the story. But the story was really short. The majority of the audio is a preview (5 chapters) of Beautiful Chaos. So now I don't want to waste a credit on the next book since I already heard half of it.
"Awesome!"
The 'Beautiful Creatures' series keeps getting better and better. The characters and plot are exciting and very well defined. Cannot wait for the next one!
Narration: Kevin Collins is definitely growing on me. All of the characters are uniquely identifiable and I love hearing each of them.
"Linkubus Lives!"
The Linkubus Lives!
Link, of course, whose story this is. A beautifully rendered tale about what happens to Link after he's bitten by the half breed during his stand with his friends during Beautiful Darkness. Link is his usual funny self (without thinking he's funny) and the dialog between him and Ridley.
When Link is going through the physical changes after being bitten and learning to deal with inordinate strength, trying to deal with his new dietary needs and his mother's suspicions.
No, no extreme reactions but I did laugh, often, because Link is just funny.
This short story was well worth the reading before beginning Beautiful Chaos because it fills in Link's storyline to bring you up to speed for the next book.
"Enjoying this Series"
I have listened to the first 2 books in this series. This book is labeled 2.5. It is a short book that is a bridge between book 2 and 3. I liked it, because it gave more details about what is happening with Link and Riddley, continues what is happening between Ethan and Lena also. Great information to make some things more clear, before starting book 3.
"Its not a story"
Yes I will but this one was a waste of money....it's not even half a book...It is Mainly 3-5 chapters of the next book. glad it didn't cost much.
They should have just given it a chapter in the next book
like them all
It told more about what Link experienced
I Love a great supernatural tale, a Love story, PNR, a Cool Mystery and Most Sci-Fi....if there are vampires, weres or witches in it, that's a plus! Basically I am a 40+ y/o young at heart woman rediscovering the wonderful world of books and am now addicted! Lol I LOVE AUDIBLE!!!!!
"Linkubous! lol"
It was funny...Link, he is silly....I can not believe he is a supernatural now...lol
none
The BC books..he is great!
no, not this one...but it was cute!
short and sweet...on to #3 and the coming apocolypse! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!
"A quick listen"
This was an ok quickie. Personally, it was a bit short for me and left me craving more. However, it was interesting to see Link's side of things. He is quite humorous!
"Great things come in small packages"
Even though this was a short novel, it really filled in the gaps and left me wanting more!
