Publisher's Summary

PART TWO: When Eragon finds a polished stone in the forest, he thinks it is the lucky discovery of a poor farm boy; perhaps it will buy his family meat for the winter. But when the stone brings a dragon hatchling, Eragon soon realizes he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire itself.

Overnight, his simple life is shattered and he is thrust into a perilous new world of destiny, magic and power. With only an ancient sword and the advice of an old storyteller for guidance, Eragon and the fledgling dragon must navigate the dangerous terrain and dark enemies of an Empire ruled by a king whose evil knows no bounds. Can Eragon take up the mantle of the legendary Dragon Riders?

The fate of the Empire may rest in his hands....

"To read or not to read!"
What made the experience of listening to Eragon - Part Two the most enjoyable?

Gerrard Doyle reads so excellently that I can imagine I am reading the book - as I did before getting the audio.

What other book might you compare Eragon - Part Two to and why?

Stephen Fry does the same superb job of bringing a book - and its characters - to life in the Harry Potter series.

What about Gerrard Doyle’s performance did you like?

His dramatisation enabled me to follow at all times who was speaking when, and how they were feeling at the time.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It is too long (for me) to sit through in one sitting but I can imagine being alone on holiday and enjoying a virtual trip to the land of dragons and dwarves, elves and evil men through the audio book.

    Any additional comments?

The book itself is slightly disappointing in leaving a few loose/unsatisfactory ends. yet how can one not, when concluding such an epic. I am glad I made this journey both by book and by audio.

    "Standout story"
If you could sum up Eragon - Part Two in three words, what would they be?

Great story, Chrisopher Paolini has a rare talent and Gerard Doyle makes the story come alive

Who was your favorite character and why?

Eragon, seeing how he has to grow up and mature to face the challenges he has to face.

Have you listened to any of Gerrard Doyle’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    no

If you could sum up Eragon - Part Two in three words, what would they be?

    Best series ever!!!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Eragon - Part Two?

The whole adventure of discovering the new world, and the sense of humour that Safira has.

What about Gerrard Doyle’s performance did you like?

Everything, he is a brilliant narator. Each caracter has their own voice, which is incredably suited for the specific caracter. The way that he narates bring acros the emotions and really enhances the story.
