"Great for kids"
This is a classic book, and a story many people may only know from the film -- the original is well worth it. It's written in a very traditional 20th-century American style, straightforward and sensible, with a homespun quality that is very charming.
Brooke Shields' performance is excellent, but very clearly aimed at young children. The book can be enjoyed by people of any age, and adults might consider a version with a little less forced theatricality.0 of 0 people found this review helpful
