"A Bit slow"
I understand that this is the debut of Inspector Dalgleish. The plot was a bit slow, and the narrator even more so. I found listening at 1 1/2 speed to be about right. the audio sounded like it had been recorded over a phone, and there was a slight ground loop hum in the background. Overall, I wish I had read this book rather than listened to it. I should have listened more closely to sample. Even so, I plan on reading or listening to more P D James.
I would recommend the book, not the recording.
Katherine Kellgren or Donada Peters
I believe it has several.
"Better Dalgleish stories....but classic PD James"
I am a PD James fan, and have always enjoyed the descriptive dialogue, which for some lends to a slow read. This is not an action story, it really is more a study of a variety of personalities.
yes, but only for those that enjoy what words can do.
I felt she let the characters be who the author envisioned them to be. I felt the author was reading the story.
"No Action"
probably not
I'm looking for the next book
She was Supberb!!
Frustration, there was little or no movement in the plot.
