A dark storm is on the horizon.... Return to Christine Feehan’s “steamy and dreamy” (Publishers Weekly) world of her New York Times best-selling Carpathian novels as roiling passions collide in a perfect storm of dangerous desire that only a precious few can hope to outrun....
Awakening after all this time in a world of absolute darkness and oppressive heat, Dax wonders in how many ways the world above must have changed. But it is how he has changed that fills him with dread and loathing. Buried alive for hundreds of years in a volcano in the Carpathian Mountains, Dax fears that he has become the full-fledged abomination that every Carpathian male fears, a victim of the insidious evil that has crept relentlessly into his mind and body over the centuries.
But there are some things that never change.
His name is Mitro, the vampire Dax had hunted all these long centuries. Second in command to the prince of the Carpathian people he is the epitome of everything malevolent, and perpetrator of one of the most shocking killing sprees known to man - and beast. Even his friends and family weren’t safe from Mitro’s bloodlust. Neither was Mitro’s lifemate, Arabejila, an extraordinary woman with extraordinary gifts.
But now that Dax has re-emerged, so too has Mitro. The ultimate battle between good and evil has been re-engaged. Between Dax and Mitro, a violent game has begun - one that has marked Riley Parker, the last descendent of Arabejila, as the reward.

My name is Isabel, I have been in love with audio books since 2008 when I had to stop reading books due to several brain surgeries.
"Another Feehan Hit!!!!"
This book was well worth the wait, I believe this book is one of her best. The narrators did a wonderful job! The story is one that draws you in and keeps you wanting more and the narrators make the characters come to life. It's the perfect combination! All I can say is I love this book and I'm glad I went with my instincts, I'm glad I didn't get discouraged by bad reviews. I'm happy I took a chance and spent the credit, it was well worth it!!!!
Way to go Christine Feehan!!!!! I'll patiently wait for the next Dark Series Book.
"another great read"
Yes. the narration of Erik Bergmann and Kristine Ryan together was delightful.
It takes on another life. I love to read but with audible i can listen to the same book and it becomes another story. Like watching a show in black and white then seeing it in color its the same show but yet it becomes more .
Believer in what you can't see
"Feels like home"
Definitely, I have read ever book in this series, and the story seems to lead back to the original storyline. If you are a big fan of the Dark Series, this will remind you of Falcon and Sara's story, Traian and Joie or Dayan and Coriane. Where the lifemate recognize each other right away and they come together to defeat the vampire, and at the same time are very comfortable with each other and truely love each other. No violence to win them. One of my favorite in the series.
The dragon was my favorite. Even as he was dying and giving a piece of himself to Dex he never gave up is spirit.
Very good performance. I like that Feehan's uses both a female and male voice.
It didn't make me laugh or cry, but it did make me feel that the storyline was going back to the original storyline.
I was glad to see that Jasmine and Jubal were getting close. I also like all the interaction with the other characters.
SM.
"Fabulous"
Christine Feehan has a wonderful imagination. Dark Storm is an exciting and romantic novel. I have read all The Dark series and this is a favorite. I especially like the male/female narration. It makes the listening experience much more enjoyable.
"Have been in waiting..."
I have been waiting for the next great book in the dark series. She has TRUELY done it again! I loved this book and I love audible! What can I say other than dang I can't wait foe the next boom in dark series... I sure hope there will be another one. I have all of them on audible..
"Stupendous!!!"
Christine Feehan is amazing. She came up with a NEW refreshing angle for the Carpathian in Dark Storm. I adore this series and this is one of my favorite books so far. I also enjoy having a male and female narrator.
"I KINDA LIKED IT"
I would and have recommended the book. The story wasn't what I thought it would be but I like it. If you are already reading the Dark Series by Christine Feehan, then I think it is worth the time to read.
Overall, I like the couple and how they interacted.
I liked how some of our favorite characters interacted with each other
I gave it three stars overall, because a lot of the questions I had in my mind I thought this book would answer but didn't
"AND SHE IS BACK"
I like Dark Storm better because it helps me to visualize the characters. The little bit that it adds really appeals to me
I like the fact that there were others from previous stories in this one. I like the fact that we learned more about gary. He is such an interesting character. Plus it is good to know more about Juliette's family. I hate to think we never got to see what happens to characters when we move to another story
my favorite scene was the conversion. This is always my favorite scene. I like the fact that the women have to go through pain. it is almost like child birth. The pain is needed to be come something new just as giving birth brings someone new to the world
I laughed a lot. To me this is one of the best books so far.
"I thought she had lost the magic!"
After the last couple of books I thought the author had lost her love for this story line, but I was wrong! THis book is in the top 5 of my favorites! Strong female, no whiny male, good chemistry, good story and good character building!
"the greatness continues!"
its was a good read, not as intense as the others but still good!
all of her dark books. i love the story lines in them all.
none is my favorite, just really enjoyed the book.
the darkness continues...
keep them coming........
