Nobody enters here after dark. Come back in the morning... if you're still breathing.
Thomas Ward is the seventh son of a seventh son, and apprentice to the local Spook. He has battled boggarts, witches, and the most powerful evils of the Dark. But his most trying task is yet to come.
When Tom and the Spook are deceived by one they trust, they find themselves in the most terrifying danger yet. Blood-hungry creatures have invaded a sleepy village. Tom can save the Spook - and the whole county - but only by betraying one of his greatest allies. With everything on the line, Tom must have the courage to stand and fight, and to face a choice that could break his heart.

"Still brilliant"
This is a great book. Still one of my favorite series to listen to. Way more intense than most my other selections
I love the suspense and mind tricks. You never know what's happening
I LOVE HIM. he is probably my favorite readers. Great change of voice for characters.
Can't spoil it. But the love between some characters, surpass the intense gore that slpa you in the face
JUST GREAT
"Better than Harry Potter books!"
Engrossing story!
Excellent!
I have read or listened to all ten books. This might be the best series of the decade!
"Love The Last Apprentice books but...."
Christopher Evan Welch is great as always and really is what makes this book.
I have the misfortune to download the UK version on another book in the series and what a big difference! Mr. Welch brings the characters alive.
This book in the series could have been combined into another one...almost like this was a filler book. It was another bad creator to overcome. There was only one big piece of information that we learn about. Overall if you like the series, you want to listen to this book as it will relate to the next but don't expect it to be up to par as the others.
