"Excellent book! Narrater needs to go!"

I love this book I have read it and listened to it I read it first thank goodness as the narrater Richard Ferrone freaks you out with pronouncing things wrong and well I just think that this type of book is better read by a woman all around the man just creeps you out. I love Christine's Dark Series I have read all 19 (Dark Curse just released) and would recommed her to everyone I know that enjoys good romance adventure thriller stories, each book even the celebration leaves me wanting more... now Ms. Feehan what comes next after Dark Curse because I can't wait.

    "Dark Celebration"

This is a terrific story - great catch up about everone in the Dark series. But could someone PLEASE give the reader a clue about how to pronounce names? He misses litteraly over 1/2 of the names. Very distracting and almost ruined the read for me.

    "One of my favorites!!"

I have read all of the books in the Dark Series. This one has always been one of my favorites so I was excited about getting the audio book. I was very disappointed in the narrator. As others have stated, his mispronunciation of so many of the names makes it difficult to keep the story flowing. I have several audio books and this one took me forever to finish since I didn't like the way the narrator pronounced the names. I won't be purchasing any other books narrated by this person. It would just be a waste of money.

    "Dark Celebration"

I waited as long as I could to purchase this one due to the narrarator. I only purchased for the story, but the guy reading is simply awful. He also reads 3 other dark books which I refuse to purchase. For those who follow the series, this book is good as it gives you insight into all the past Carpathians' lives. But, I can't say enough about how terrible the narrarator is.

    "Poor Judgement By Publisher"

I have read and listend to most of Christine Feehan's Dark Series. This is the first time I have had and Issue with the narrator. His pronuceation of names is appaling. It makes the book very hard to follow because you have to keep thinking of who is he talking about. I realize sometimes a word here or there can be an issue for some but he purposely makes his own assumption of names. I will never listen to another book that he narrates. The Publisher has really dropped the ball on this one

    "Great catching up!"

I really enjoyed this story, it was so good to catch up with all of the couples I have come to care for. I laughed out loud, I cringed and I celebrated with this family that Ms. Feehan has made me a part of. By touching on stories past and giving a taste of stories to come, Skylar and Mary Ann in particular, I thought she did a wonderful job of interlinking past, present and future. This is the first time we get to experience a Carpathian male going through the awkward stage of teen to man and I hope to see more of the growing pains of the younger ones. I am looking forward to the stories of the next generation of the Carpathians.

The narrator did not pronounce everything the way they have been pronounced in other books but then I look at a narrator as I do the lead actors in plays changing. Not every actor plays a character exactly the same and not every narrator is going to narrate a book exactly as the ones before have. He did a fine job of evoking the emotions and feelings of each character and I enjoyed listening to him. I do have to admit I tend to fast forward through some of the more graphic sex scenes because it does make me a bit uncomfortable having a man read them to me but that is my personal feeling.

    "Good listen!"

I loved reading this story and it was an okay listening. The narrator doesn't get the names right but he does do a good job. Wish she would come out with another one like this!!

    "Great Book - Poor Narrater"

I love this book and am glad I read it first - I have several of her audio books and have really enjoyed them so far - I am sorry but this narrater Richard Ferrone is very poor and I am very disappointed in the audiobook. I had a hard time finishing this one.
