Even though Eve can't quite see it that way, it's supposed to be at least partly a vacation. But work intrudes in the form of a bloody homicide, and Eve is off and running. The case is complicated by Eve's personal history with the victim - and by the killer's history with Roarke. As danger closes in and the body count rises, Eve must find a way to stop the cycle of violence and revenge, and shove the past back where it belongs.
Crack another case with Eve Dallas.

"Quick Read, But Good"
This is a fast read, but yet still interesting. Dallas comes up against a murder that she solves with an off-planet female cop and the plot is pretty good. Dialog is typically witty JD Robb style with the sense of humor that has some bite to it. Susan Erickson has managed to maintain the integrity of the voices, which is nice after having read a few where she was somewhat off. I'm not sure why the length was so short, but still it was a good read. Readers who have read several Eve Dallas novels will wonder if they have read the love scenes before. They have -- the writing of those segments is very similar to other novels in the series. But they don't take up too much of the novel. JD Robb pretty much sticks to the plot in this one.
"Short but perfect"
Top quarter
All the characters that make Eve's "family" were there doing what they do best.
Susan has become one of the best parts of the In Death series. I miss hear when I read the books.
Yes! I know it was a short book but that helped me listen to it in one evening.
Don't pass on this book because of the size. You would miss a enjoyable time with old friends. If you are new to the series you will meet most of the clan.
"A good short story"
That is hard to say. I love the in Death Series by JD Robb. So I am bias when it comes to Eve Dallas. There is not a book in this series that I don't love. There are some I love more than others. You are either drawn into the lives of these characters or you are not. Warning this is just short story. If you want to taste of the Eve Dallas and the in Death Series start with Naked in Death.
What I always love the interaction between characters and the absolute great narrations by Susan E.
I think I enjoyed the team hanging at bar
Well I hope they don't make a film from this book, rather they start a cable series with the first book
Remember this is just a taste of the series and if you haven't read any of this series, you won't really get into it. I think this will only be enjoyed by those who have done the previous books in the series.
"Out of this World"
This Novella is a great quick listen. Dallas and her team are off Planet on Olympus Resort at a Interplanetary Law Enforcement and Security Conference. Dallas hates that fact that she has to go to the conference, that it is off planet, but the thing that she hates the most is that she will be conducting a seminar. But there is someone that wants to use the conference to take Roarke down, and will stop at nothing to do this. Dallas must work with the Olympus Resort Police to stop this man before he finishes his goal. For a short story it is great, having all the main characters from the "In Death" series and you get to meet the Chief of Police on Olympus Darcia Angelo. The narration of this story is great, you will not go wrong with this story.
"Off Planet Fun"
Yes, anyone who enjoys a good murder with a bit of humor on the side will enjoy this book.
No, not really as the murderer was revealed earlier than usual but I had to listen to the end to find out how they were caught.
Peabody's voice is great also Rourke's Irish brogue is charming.
An interlude with Dallas is never boring.
"Excellent"
Yes, great reading
The pace and surprises JD Robb pressents
Yes good voice over. Get a very good visual of what is going on.
Makes me laugh sometimes with Eve Dallas and Rourke they way they interact.
Buy them all !!

"A Short Internal on Another Planet"
I liked the continuity of the series, the characters. I disliked the basic story.
If they are reading the entire series, then probably I would; otherwise, no, don't bother.
I like her vocal interpretation of the characters; especially Roarke's Irish brogue.
This was more of a mystery. Eve had too many confrontations with people. Very little romance.
To improve? More romance, romantic banter, less confrontation, fighting.
No.
"Interlude in Death as usually very good"
no but I enjoy the audio more
Eve as always
Peabody
no I like to listen on my 40 minute trip from home to work
"Great story and suspense"
I enjoyed listening to it! This book is full of fun, suspense and romance that I have come to love in all of the In Death Series books. Eve and Rourke are two of my favorite book characters! I look forward to each new one like a child in a candy factory! Susan Ericksen is my favorite narrator. She brings these books to life. Susan actually makes me see the book as she is reading them. Any other narrator would ruin these books for me.
J D Robb (Nora Roberts) has so many wonderful characters in the In Death Series books that it is very hard for me to choose one because without anyone of the characters the books would be missing something! Eve and Rourke are my favorite characters though because of their sizzle and chemistry.
Susan Ericksen is my favorite narrator! In this book as in all of the In Death Series books she brings the characters to life and allows me to enjoy the book over and over again. Any time I see a book narrated by her I know it will be a great read and she has never disappointed me!
No I usually listen to them over a two day period. Half each day!
