Wild Invitation is an exciting collection of Psy/Changeling stories from New York Times best-selling author Nalini Singh. In "Beat of Temptation", innocent Tamsyn has always had a place in her heart for Nathan, a blooded DarkRiver sentinel. But is she ready for the fierce demands of the mating bond? In "Stroke of Enticement", a wary young teacher, skeptical about love, arouses the man - and the animal - in an aggressive leopard changeling who must prove his affections are true.
The collection also features two never-before-published novellas: In "Declaration of Courtship", Grace, a shy, submissive wolf, finds herself pursued by the last man she ever would have imagined: a SnowDancer lieutenant said to be "mad, bad, and dangerous to know". In "Texture of Intimacy", SnowDancer healer Lara discovers the searing joys - and unexpected challenges - of being mated to quiet, powerful Walker, a man used to keeping his silence.

"Just AWEsome!"
Wonderful collection of short stories! Fills in the stories of other characters we have met in the main books. Angela Dawe carries on her fantastic narration.
A must have for Nalini fans!!!

"IS THERE ANYTHING NALINI WRITES THAT I WON'T LIKE?"
Anything by Nalini is great, even her short stories. Most of the time short stories feel rushed to me but despite the stories being a lot shorter they still felt complete and well written.
I love Nalini Singh and read everything she writes. You have got to read her stuff if you like Thea Harrison, J.R. Ward. Christine Feehan, Jeaniene Frost, etc. You get the picture!!
"A wonderful addition to one of my favorite series!"
I loved this book. It is full of those little moments and shorter romances.
My favorite of the stories is Stroke of Enticement but they are all good.

"Two old favorites and two new ones."
Dawe's narration is once again wonderful. She does such an amazing job keeping the various (and MANY) voices in this series distinct enough.
I bought this on the strength of the two stories originally published in other anthologies ("Beat of Temptation" (BoT) and "Stroke of Enticement" (SoE)). However, the other two stories ended up becoming two of my favorites. I've listened to them multiple times now -- and I enjoy them just as much as BoT and SoE.
BoT gives us Nate and Tamsin's story - we know them from the main series and is a solid romance, although I got frustrated with Nate's inability to see how his actions were hurting Tami and in many ways wished she put her foot down earlier. He comes to his senses (as we know) and the ending is sweet.
SoE is one of my favorites of Singh, even counting her full length novels. There is just something about Annie and Zack's story that clicked with me. Annie is stubborn and strong, self-protective. And Zack - I love that he just "knows". It's a fun look into the power of a mating bond and what that would look like in two non-sentinal/lieutenant personalities. Simple, lovely story.
Cooper and Grace stole my heart in "Declaration of Courtship", despite their story following the traditional romance storyline -- he's tough, silent and determined to have her, but suffering and she is sweet, stubborn and determined to take care of him despite his protectiveness of her. This one is a fun repeat listen for the coaxing and convincing tactics that Cooper undertakes trying to convince Grace and her wolf to trust him.
With "Texture of Intimacy", Singh shows she can seamlessly write a story about a couple (Lara and Walker) who are still getting to know each other *after* the "fairy tale" has ended. This is a wonderful bit of writing which shows very clearly that the romance and the learning of each other doesn't end when the mating bond has snapped into place and that love has to be paired with understanding and compassion in a successful relationship. Also, Singh gives us a great peak into the lives of the Pack as they recover from recent battle and insight into some of the other primary and secondary characters we've fallen in love with throughout the series.
"4 Good Short Stories"
If you have not heard the other books in this series, you will not really understand why these 4 stories were needed to be told. I was very glad to hear Tam and Nat's story, I have wandered about them since book 1. Zach and Cooper's stories are a lot of fun as well, but it was Lara and Walker's story that I really liked. I was hoping after book 10 that more would be written about them. It was also nice to hear alittle more about what happened after the "War" but there is still alot more to be written on that and I really hope Ms. Singh does write about it. I also hope to see more about the "Arrow's" some of them seem like they would have very interesting stories as well. If you liked this series, then I think you will like hearing these 4 stories as well.

"You'll recognize the characters....."
These vignets fit right in with the series. I can hardley wait for a new book to come out, You'll recognize all of the characters and their continuing stories. it's worth the credit to listen to the short stories of their continuing lives.

"AN ENTERTAINING INVITATION TO SHORT SWEET STORIES"
These are great short stories all done by the talented author Nalini Singh and she is an automatic download with me.
Lots of romantic stories however there are certain stories I prefer over others but they all have sexy Alpha males on the prowl and tells just how they each eventually capture their mates. The tender sweet romances seem to be pretty much all each of the stories are about with lots of mental or verbal talk about the mating bond and the sexual urges but not very explicit. That and you learn more about how each pack's hierarchy works.
Worth a credit? Yes, and if you're a paranormal romance lover, then you'll agree.
Audible addicted love mystery, lately stuck on love story. Mother of 1 Labrador and 1 perfect man. Work way too hard, and so ready to be retired
