Trouble seems to find Stephanie Plum no matter where she goes, and once again she's struggling with her tangled love life, her chaotic family, and her God-given gift for destroying every car she drives. This time, Stephanie has decided to quit her job as a bounty hunter. She wants something safe. She wants something normal. She's tired of creeps, weirdos, and stalkers. But just when she thinks she's out, they pull her back in!
This latest novel is packed full of Janet Evanovich's trademark wit, adventure, and sly comedy. So fasten your seatbelt and hang on...Stephanie's back in town!

"A pleasing romp." (Publishers Weekly)
"It's wonderful to watch both a beloved character and a cherished author grow, and both Stephanie Plum and Evanovich do not disappoint." (Booklist)
"More Plum Fun"
Eleven on Top has all the fun hijinks that readers expect from a Stephanie Plum novel. If you are looking for new developments in the Morelli-Stephanie-Ranger story, it is not there, but there are many laugh-out-loud moments. Lorelei King does a great job, as usual, with the narration, making the characters come to life. For Plum fans, this is worth a listen.
"Now HERE'S a reader!"
Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum is back at it again...if you've enjoyed past Stephanie Plum books, you'll enjoy this one. If you are new to the series, you really need to listen to or read the first book; and frankly, I recommend reading it as opposed to listening as the reader isn't "the" Stephanie Plum we know and enjoy as portrayed by Lorelei King.
Lorelei King sets the standard by which any and all readers are to be judged. She breathes life into each of these characters and hands down is the best female reader out there. Period. Her timing and cadence are perfect. Her portrayal of each character is perfect. To have anyone else read these books would be terribly disappointing. (She also does extrememly well in Evanovich's "Full" series.) If you're seeking comedy and entertainment, you'll find it here.
"Another Great Plum Story"
I liked the story & the narrator. The tension between the characters is great. Of course I'd love to see Stephanie and Ranger in a very steamy affair. The name on this review is my husbands. He'd just die if I didn't let you know that his wife if the one who read the book
"This was such fun"
I was slogging up and down the hills of Acapulco laughing my butt off. The people I met must have thought I was there for the cure. It was a fun story, heartfelt and charming characters. The reader was a gem. How she does everyone from a gruff old man to a crazy old Italian witch, I can't say, but it was fun from start to finish.
"Still going strong"
This series continues to be fun after all these years. This is a bit of a departure for Stephanie, who takes a break from being a bounty hunter and tries to find a new career for herself, with often hilarious results, as we've come to expect.
"Terrific"
Terrific as usual. I love this series. Hilarious to the end. I have read the book and listened to it twice. I find myself going to sleep wanting to dream about Ranger and Morelli. Why cant a girl have her cake and two men too? This book is guarenteed to make you smile, and yourself and want more in the end. Janet just cant write these fast enough. It kills me to wait for the next one.
"A tasty"
Stephanie has decided that being a bondswoman is too dangerous. She is off looking for another job. In the process, she just may find that being Stephanie Plum is dangerous.
I have read--or listened to--every Stephanie Plum novel Evanovich has written. For pure fluff, the combination of Evanovich and King is unbeatable. Great literature? Probably not. A wonderful bit of entertainment? Absolutely! I won't miss a single one of these. I've even downloaded some Plum that I've already read because I think King does such a great job of creating the characters.
"I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS SERIES!!!!"
I'm so sad to have finished this eleventh in the Stephanie Plum series. You see, I went to Janet Evanovich's book signing a year ago for #10 having never read any of her books. I had heard she was a great author and thought I'd show up for the party and get a copy. They handed out index cards with either "Joe" or "Ranger" on them. I didn't even know who they were! After hearing all the people in line rave about Janet Evanovich, I decided that I needed to start at the beginning. Since July 2004, I have listened to all 11 books unabridged, except for Seven Up which until recently, was only available in abridged form.
I have lived with and gotten to know Stephanie, Joe, Ranger, Lulu, Grandma Mazer and all the characters for a whole year...and now, I've finished. Janet, please hurry up with #12!
I highly recommend this series. Sure, you can listen in any order as you'll still be laughing so hard, you'll have to pull your car over...but I recommend listening in order even if you can only find the abridged versions.
Thank you Janet for a wonderful series. Will she ever choose a man to marry?
"Stephanie Plum Grows Up"
While Stephanie Plum and her family were as crazy as ever, there seemed to be a difference in Stephanie, as certain maturity. This was a very entertaining book, I found myself laughing out loud many times. I enjoyed the further development of the character "Bob" and his strange eating habits (you'll see). A recommended listen.
"Like watching a movie in your head!"
I have to admit I'm hooked! I really enjoy the Stephanie Plum stories, but what send me over the top is the narrarator. Lorelei King does such a great job, you easily will believe it's more than one person reading. She takes Evanovich's stories to new levels.
I recommend starting with the whole series. King doesn't start reading till book seven though, and the characters aren't as interesting and gripping until she narrates. We need more books read by King.
THESE ARE A MUST READ.
