The secret is out... Vampires do exist!
When a video reveals to the world that vampires live among us, it’s up to “young” vamp Gregori Holstein, VP of Marketing, to persuade the U.S. government to declare the video a hoax. But first the president wants a favor, one that requires Gregori to spend forty-eight hours in very close contact with the First Daughter.
Abby Tucker would rather spend her nights in a lab than attend her father’s state dinners. She’s dedicated her life to finding a cure that will save her dying mother and needs only two more ingredients. To find them, she’ll have to venture into the most dangerous region of the world - with a vampire. Her Armani-clad escort may be Undead, but he still makes her heart race. And the greatest danger won’t be the predatory hordes lying in wait for them; it will be her undying desire for the Sexiest Vampire Alive.

Say something about yourself!
"LOVE THIS SERIES"
IM GOING TO HAVE TO SAY THE SAME THING FOR ALL THE LOVE AT STAKE BOOK IN THIS SERIES. ALL THE NARRATORS WERE REALLY GOOD. SOME BETTER THAN OTHERS BUT IT IS DEFINITLY WORTH BUYING OR USING YOUR CREDITS ON. JUST MAKE SURE YOU LISTEN THO THE BOOKS IN ORDER ACCORDING TO THE BOOK # OR THE RELEASE DATE. ONE OF THE BOOKS IS NOT PART OF THE SERIES BUT PLAYS AN IMPORTANT ROLE. AFTER BOOK 9 YOU WANT TO LISTEN TO VAMPIRE MINE
"love the story but the narrator....."
I loved this series but the narrator was so annoying. I can't bear to hear her voice ut tthe actually story was alright
I Love Audiobooks & Great Narrators!!!
"Fun & Sexy Series!"
This series is a little silly and a little sexy. I really enjoyed all of these books for a light read. This narrator is definitely not my favorite by far but not so terrible that it stopped me from listening.
Short fuse
"Good story - dragged down by Narrator."
The Narrator. It has always been such a pleasure to listen to this series, until now.
There is action, romance and pathos. Something for everyone.
The "Sesame St". voices assigned to the characters were extremely irritating and reduced them in dimension to figures of ridicule, completely spoiling my listening experience. This was a shame as it was competent apart from that. Obviously this narrator had not listened to any of the previous books, unlike the purchasers, which would have helped in characterisation. The previous reader did a much better job, why the change?
Tell the Narrator to stop patronising paying customers, this is not a kindergarten library corner!
"I love this series!"
Although not my favorite of the series, I truly enjoy Kerrelyn Spark's vampire world. I love how she ties the characters together as if she's writing about a family. This was my first audiobook and I enjoyed the experience.
Though most of the performance was good, I was disappointed in the way the narrator read the male characters. They came off as oafish, not strong, sexy vampires. This lessened my enjoyment of the book.
Loves Books
"Good Story, Bad Narration"
Yes, because it is a good story and I love the "Love at Stake" series.
Can't think of one
She was unable to perform male characters. She made Angus McKay sound like a woman with a high voice. She did an OK job with Gregori's and Abby's voices. She was absolutely horrible with Roman's voice.
No.

"Loved this book!"
I really enjoy this author's writing! She is has a way of infusing humor into her writing that left me rewinding the book to catch all of the story. I definitely will be reading more of her work. I also loved the narrator as well and find she is able to bring unique voices to the cast of characters in the book.
"not one of her best - the narrator does the rest!"
A better narrator!
I have already listened to al lot of her books - this is one of the two I didn't like.
Her performance!

"Absolutely horrible voices!! Good series"
I own all of the love at stake audio books and have enjoyed them all immensely, up until this one. The story itself is good, (though not as good as some of the others) but what really destroys this book for me was the narration. I find it funny that, when nearly 1/3 or so of the vocals are Scottish, the narrator cant do Any (French as well) accents correctly, or even minimally. I have to constantly try to figure out who is talking, since every voice tends to mesh together. Out of all of the voices, however, and cringing at the horrible piercing shrieks this lady seems to think all female do from time to time, I must admit... Every time I hear her interpretation of Romans voice, I laugh my butt off. She seems to think that he should sound like one of the OLD Transylvanian vampires from decades ago. Short of the amusement factor, I was sorely tempted to just buy this book hardcopy so I didn't have to deal with the narration.
