Just in time for the holidays: author Linda Howard's beloved Mackenzies. Meet Maris Mackenzie - and the sexy stranger she woke up to find in her bed! Unfortunately, she had no memory of Alex MacNeil, the previous day… or the prize thoroughbred she'd apparently stolen.

Love books, preferably romance and suspense. Typically read/listen to 3-5 a week.
"Short Book"
It was great to revisit the Mackenzies again. The book was short and I felt it could have been more developed. I enjoyed the book probably because I love the Mackenzies. I really would like the author to put Chance's book on tape. I have read both books before and enjoyed hearing them read. It was good Dennis Boutsikaris read this one as he did Mackenzie's Pleasure so it was the same voice.
It was good to have all the family in the book but only at the end. Others may not enjoy the book as much unless they know the history of this family. It would have been nice to have had some updates as to where the family was at this point.
I did not use a credit for this book because the cost was much cheaper than a credit cost. I can't complain it was money well spent. If you are looking for a quick listen - fun, short and a no-brainer this is the book for you.
I have an addiction to Audio books. What I can't get at the library, I come to Audible and they are always having a sale. I have way more audiobooks than I could possible listen to in over 3 years, but I can't help but adding to my collection and I read a little of everything but mostly romance and paranormal goodies.
"More of Mackenzie."
Cute little story, romance was way fast, but to be expected in a short story. Defiantly could have made this into a full size story with some mystery added. Although Dennis Boutsikaris did a good job reading the book, he sounds older and maybe accountant type. Not the manly man, portrayed in the story, and it was mostly from a woman’s point of view. There is a lot of revisiting of the Mackenzie family at the end.
"Mackenzies Magic"
This book is outstanding and equal to all the other Mackenzie book's. Linda Howard has out done herself with this Mackenzie series. The only thing wrong with this book is it isn't long enough.
"CUTE!"
Cute and easy listening. It would be a good book to listen to while commuting--not too distracting. Likable characters, especially the little girl that appears near the end of the book. Linda Howard describes her so well it's as if you can literally see her.... and her little antics makes you smile.
Well narrated by Dennis Boutsikaris .
"Maris gets her STUD~ Howard MacKenzie fun"
YES~ Maris wakes up in bed with hunk. NO memory. She stole??? a horse ? Alex and Maris are
Alex~ and Maris.
the entire audio moves along fast~ good story
ending
Short Story is a nice little audiobook. Fun~ GREAT ending with the entire MacKenzie Clan. 5 STAR fun.
"Short but Sweet"
It wasn't the best but it certainly wasn't the worst.
He had good intonation and inflection when he read the story. His voices were believable and added to the enjoyment of the story.
no
Good Story and an easy listen...didn't have to think to hard about the plot...just a good lose yourself in the story book.
"Not her best"
This was not HW's best. The story was very predictable and the characters were not that interesting.
"Wonderful to listen to my favorite stories"
Linda Howard is one of my favorite writers. Ms Howard's stories always let me escape for a few hours into a world were I can experience different parts of the world and enjoy the people that live there. Her Mackenzie series is top notch on the escape-o-meter!
The Mackenzie series lets the saga unfold and you see the development and expansion of the caracters
Wolf is my favorite character. His story has always been my favorite of the series.
Adventure, Mystery and Romance! It's All Here!
"Not a standout for Ms. Howard. No fan of narrator."
Yes for Ms Howard. No for Mr Boutsikaris.
More insight to the characters. The story could have been a little more detailed.
Narrator could have had more expression.
He was a little to lackluster for me. The entire reading was much to monotoned.
No, it was not one I would be interested in.
"GOOD BUT HAVE HAD BETTER FROM LINDA HOWARD"
THIS IS THE FIRST OF THE MACKENZIE BOOKS THAT FELL A LITTLE SHORT IN MOST AREAS. I AM NOT SURE WHAT WAS MISSING. IT WAS GOOD BUT NOT ONE I WOULD READ AGAIN REAL SOON LIKE I WOULD THE OTHER MACKENZIE BOOKS. LINDA HOWARD IS STILL ONE OF MY TOP AUTHORS AND I HAVE FOUND VERY FEW THAT I WOULDN'T READ OVER & OVER. THIS ONE JUST DIDN'T HAVE THE SIZZLE THE OTHER ONES DID. I AM GLAD IT ENDED WITH FAMILY BECAUSE THAT IS ALWAYS GOOD.
