"Needs the picture book!"
Overall, I like this audiobook, but if you're using it to help your child learn German, you really do need the illustrated book. Without the pictures, most kids are going to have a difficult time following the story.
By age 10, kids are going to find the narration extremely condescending (for example, "You're about to start a wonderful adventure!" in a saccharine voice). It's better for 4-6 year olds, and even then, you may want to fast forward through the intro after the first time or two.
"Very good, but missing the ilustrated book"
I am an adult learning German and this book has been very usefull for practising what I have been learning, but I think should be better with the ilustrated book. You can use the PDF but is not the same.
"Fun Learning German"
I'm an adult learning German. I would love to have the picture book that goes with this but the downloadable transcript audible gives you is fine. I'm learning lots of new words, sentence structure etc from this book.
thanks Berlitz (Rush Hour Berlitz is great too!)
