"Had me and my kids laughing so hard!"
LOVED this so much. A book I actually enjoyed and had my two kids (6 and 9) - and husband - laughing hysterically from beginning to end. Short and sweet, perfect for the drive home from school. Story was great and the narrator was excellent.
"Particularly appealing to 5 year old boys"
My grandson and I, especially him, found this story highly amusing and worthy of much imitation throughout the day. Chicken Little and the Stinky Cheese Man are especially memorable. I fresh retelling of old fairy stories - short and enjoyable.
"My 6 yr old could not stop laughing"
I am an audible addict for adult fiction and on a whim decided try children's books as well and download this book for my daughters and I to listen to. It is a silly (in a good way) parody of well known tales, such as Little Red Riding Hood becoming Little Red Running Shorts. The narrator was perfect. As expected, it was over my 4-yr-old's head, but my 6-yr-old could not stop laughing and even I laughed out loud in places as well.
"Loved It!"
Jon Scieszka and Mike Ferreri are well matched. I loved it and so did my son and his best friend (ages 13).
"Fun again!"
I read this book to my kids when they were young and was delighted to find it at Audible. As I listen, I remember those wonderful days when I read aloud to my kids and how much fun and laughter this book brought us. Now I have it in audio and can play it in the car when I take the grandkids on an outing. They love it too. It is as great as ever. It's so much fun again!!
"Entertaining"
Funny, silly and entertaining. And with the versatile narration it's like getting several books for the price of one!
"Laugh out loud!"
I love reading this book to my students. It's creative and great to use to give kids ideas for their own writing.
"Loney Toons"
Some very unique takes on the traditional fairy tales.
I originally planned to play the stories for my 7yr old son for bedtimes. um, nope. The narrator comes of a extremely hyper. Going from voice to voice. Some Buggs some
Daffy even a little Rocky and Bullwinkle. This would be great for Saturday morning cartoons. Not so much for evening winding down. And he talks so fast that we found ourselves saying "Huh, what just happened?"
Sure, like I said, he was great for upbeat storylines. His "voices" are terrific. I was just looking for a more soothing story.
Looney Tales
Nope.
"Please stop"
After hearing the word "Stupid" 20 times in the first 3 minutes, my six year old asked me to please stop the audio and play something else. Skip this one and Juni B Jones
