In New York, a state full of folklore, legends, and perhaps ghosts, we visit Manhattan's Merchant House Museum, where Gertrude Treadwell was born, died...and may still reside. At the Buffalo Naval Park, we search for George Sullivan's ghost aboard the USS Sullivans, the ship dedicated to the five Sullivan brothers who died together in WWII. In the Mohawk Valley, we stop off at the haunted Beardslee Castle, and on Staten Island, we tour Conference House, home to Revolutionary War spirits.

"WOW"
Haunted history new York was a fun and creepy halloween purchase. In particular, I loved the story of the Sullivan brothers and Lavender. ITs true, these tapes aren't particularly long, but they are quite thrilling and reasonably priced. A fun, thrilling scare for halloween and ghost fiction lovers.
"Weak content, terrible presentation."
I like ghost stories of New York City because the history is fascinating and, usually, far more interesting than any alleged haunting (not a believer myself).
This Haunted History however, was a painful listen. They have just ripped the audio from a TV special so they refer to things you should be ‘seeing’ which makes you feel pretty cheated (like someone has the TV on in the next room)
The history is light on is some stories but there are still some interesting tid-bits. However, the ‘haunted’ element though was woeful. Such trite over the top narration as well as incredibly unconvincing witnesses and ‘experts’ will may a sceptic out of anyone.
I only picked this up because I had a couple of free dollars from Audible. I’d never have spent my own cash on such a short program and given the quality I’m truly glad I didn’t.
"Kind of like overhearing a TV show"
Wish it had more facts than typical hype displayed on TV. Interesting but few examples around NY State. Expected more content and less Halloween theatrics.

"Not to bad, entertaining"
A bit disappointed in the fact that it appears to be a recording of a tv series. Sound quaility poor.
