Publisher's Summary

The Little Sister, one of noir master Raymond Chandler's later novels, paints his darkest portrait yet of the underside of the City of Angels. Detective Phillip Marlowe is once again on the case, helping a "little sister", a sweet young girl from Kansas, find her missing brother in Tinseltown. A blackmailer and an ambitious starlet play key roles in this bleak tale, Chandler's savage indictment of the Hollywood dream factory.

A Viet Nam veteran, former steelworker, surveyor, draftsman, currently registered nurse. Popular and trendy are not necessarily great. Time weeds the path to the gardens of the classics.

"Her lips open as I draw her near..."

This is essential Chandler. good guys , bad guys, mixed up dames and lookers. I just love this stuff. I'm going out right now and buy some wide lapel jacket with pleated trousers and brown and white wing tips. Can you see me with an unfiltered camel in my lip as my fedora tilts on my brow. You can't go wrong with Ray.

    "A Great Marriage of Talent"
    Any additional comments?

Elliot Gould's voice lends itself perfectly to the writing style of Raymond Chandler. The picture is painted beautifully by Gould's voice and not many can pen a better detective drama than Chandler. A great marriage of talents.
