Analisa...
He whispers her name, and it echoes back to him on the wings of the night. She is so young, so alive. She radiates warmth and goodness, chasing the coldness from his being, banishing the loneliness from his soul. In four centuries of prowling, the shadows have brought him few pleasures, but the nearness of her soft lips, her warm throat, promise sweetness beyond imagining. She has wandered unchaperoned to the moonlit tomb where he takes refuge by day, little suspecting that with his eyes alone he can mesmerize her, compel her to do his bidding. Yet he will not take her life's blood by force or trickery. He will have it as a gift, freely given, and in exchange, he will make her wildest dreams come true.

"Mediocre.... building to fair/good in parts"
This is yet another book very nearly ruined by the narrator but thanks to double speeding I got through it.
The story is set in the 1800s 400 yr old vampire Alesandro fed up with his un-life saves dying 17 yr old poor, naive, and innocent Analisa then takes her under his wing and falls in love with her and she falls for him almost straight away. The tension comes when Alesandro is stalked by a fellow vamp who wants him permanently dead.
I found this to be a pleasant enough romance, I liked Alesandro BUT it could have been great - however it's so lacking in descriptions of things that your mind cannot picture the scenes, it was so slow it was painful, there was desire but no real passionate moments (no 'hot n heavy' bits) and it was so badly narrated.
Worth a credit? It was like a vegetarian Big Mac - edible yes but not very enjoyable or mentally nutritious - so that would be a NO from me and I have now taken AA off my auto download list.
