"Fantastic "read""
Captivating, enthralling, suspense packed, a great ending with a couple of twists. The only criticism i can give this book is that it ended :(
Its always sad when you finish a book you cant put down for the life of you!
"Good story, bad narration"
I would try another Kay Hooper book
She sounds old for the age of the characters in the book, lots of strange pauses and I didn't care for her interpretation of the characters. She made the book more boring than it really was.
yes
I enjoyed the story, I just wish it was a better narrator.
"The characters are very relatable"
Yes, great narrator and the story had enough suspense to be interesting.
Yes
The scene when the characters realize what they were missing in life.

"Distracting narration"
If you like stories about psychics or paranormal stuff, you would probably like this. I had picked up a book by Kay Hooper one summer as a beach read. While I likes it, I felt like I was missing too much back story, so I decided to start with the first novel, Stealing Shadows. While the first novel in a series, it is a stand-alone story that does not leave the reader / listener thinking that a sequel is required to finish the story. I liked that.
Nothing really comes to mind.
For me, the narrator definitely distracted from the book. While she did a good job with the voices, the microphone was too close to her mouth so I could hear her breath intakes and lips smacking. Very annoying.

"A bit too long."
My english does not allow me to write a complicated review but I can tell you that although I found the book a bit too long, it is a good story and I enjoyed listening. Very well narrated as well. So it is worth spending time with.
