"Very Beatrix Potter"
Cute little story and very typical! I forgot how short some of her stories are! It is age appropriate for young children, as all the B.P. stories are. Narrator also evokes a B.P. style very well.
What the prior reviewer may not have realized is that in England, then and now, the term "Pussie/ Pussy" is what cats are called, along with "Puss" and not at all a derogatory term. This term also used in Mother Goose nursery rhymes. If a possible problem, perhaps an explanation of this as the proper use of the term as used would be in order. However, it would seem more appropriate not to make anything of it at all...
LOVE ROMANCE, HISTORY, AND STRAIGHT SHOOTERS
"Just adorable!"
of course!
A fan of all of Beatrix Potters stories, I was excited to download this one - bringing me back to my childhood bedtime moments. The narrator did a fine job matching the childlike persona's of the characters. Definitely a lovely listen.
"It has pictures"
I listened to this on my mobile phone in the audible ap, and saw out of the corner of my eye, that the picture kept changing to match the story. The description does say that it is an enhanced audio format, but I didn't realize that, until I realized the pictures went along with the story.
Also, it was just over 2 minutes long, the details say 1 minute.
Overall, a pleasant surprise.
"passing"
Probably not
Liven up the character

It wasn't long enough to answer this?

"Cute but really short"
Yes. I love BP and the narration was lively.
Make it longer
There were only two.
Loved the illustrations. Great little story for a child.
"inappropriate language for 6 to 7years old"
The absolute only reason i can't let the children listen to this book is because it starts out with pussy cat without the cat. I have a 6 and 7yo and this is just asking them to be put out of school t for language because they sense something wrong with the language and keep repeating the word inappropriately. no wonder it was free.
