True love: good from the first bite….
Etienne Argeneau’s 300 years of bachelorhood were at an end. Either that, or he’d be forever alone. He could only turn one human in his lifetime, and most of his kind created a life mate. If he turned this stranger…. But what choice did he have? He had to help Rachel Garrett. The beautiful coroner had saved his life. To save hers, he would make her immortal.
To the last....
Rachel Garrett awoke surprised. All she’d wanted was to get off the night shift in the morgue; now here she was staggering to her feet naked and in a strange place. But everything would be alright. She’d just make like a bat out of.... Then she saw the man of her dreams emerging from his…coffin? And the look in his bright silver eyes said they’d be spending a lot of time together. She just hoped he tasted as good as he looked.

"Sands' deliciously sexy comedic series featuring the charismatic Argeneau clan is a delight." (Booklist)
"This is NOT Book 1!"
First of all this is a great fun read. I've never been into romances before but this had enough excitement, adventure and danger to keep my attention. MOST IMPORTANT THING: you need to know is THIS IS BOOK TWO! Check the Author's website. Book one is actually A Quick Bite. I was confused at first, looking like everyone for book two, but she explaines it on her website. I don't know why audible has not corrected it.
PNR is my prefered genre, but I also enjoy any lighthearted, funny, steamy stories. Listening to books helps me to do mindless housework.
"Wasn't disappointed!"
I bought this book after seeing it on a couple of "funny/LOL vampire romance book" suggestion lists on Amazon. Although I didn't find this LOL, I did find it amusing at times, but more than that, it was a sweet (and at times hot (definatly an adult story), but not smutty) romance story. Pleasent suprise, no profanity, and very minimal violence. I appreciated the "scientific" take on the this author's version of what vampires are. It was a very enjoyable story and I look forward to continuing the series (although unfortunatly it doesn't appear book 2 is avail. on audio).
My one and only critcism would be I felt the narrator used a rather rushed pace, however the narrator did do a good job; she has a very pleasent voice, and I appreciated the different "charater" voices she did.

"Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!"
This is the first book I have been introduced to, in this series and I cannot wait to listen to all of the remaining books! I loved the writing style and the characters.
"Love this series!"
So clever to introduce the family of characters in the first two books and then feature each one in the series.
Loved Angela Dawe's narration. I thought she did an excellent job of bringing all the characters to life. Which they are. They are not dead. They have nanos. (I love this premise!)
"Thoroughly Enjoyed it"
Made for a good listen. Angela Dawe did a fantastic job. My only regret is that she isn't reading the other books. Kept my interest through the entire book. I laughed, I cryed a little to much sex for my taste but other than that I cant wait to read the next one.
"I did not care much for the story"
I might give another try and listen to book 3, but I just can't get into these series after "Nighthuntress" by Jeannine Frost. This book felt too cheesy and nothing exciting...
I love narration by Angela Dawe, it could she just grew on me after listening to Nalini Singh series. I don't like the narrators that exaggerate too much as the next narrator in book 3.
"cool"
Great series. But they need to number the order. Hard to get them in the right order without the #s
All of this series is basically the same.
She had no inflections in her reading. It all ran together
Yes
I do not just want to read books; i wish i could climb in and live there.
"Etienne Argeneau’s 300 years of bachelorhood ends!"
Nice light vampire with a twist storyline.... the humour was good too... Thomas was excellent!!!!
Angela did the females well - the males however I didn't enjoy as much... just didn't seem right...
Etienne is such a lovely guy - kind, loving and yummy.... He loves Rachel and needs a little poke (a little help from Thomas) Rachel is attractive, brave and really deserves a guy like Etienne. Rachel just needs to get used to the blood drinking thing ...I loved Thomas with the straws he is so cheeky and cute.I also enjoy the family connection through these books its great!
I want to listen to the other books but I don't like Victoria's narration so it's putting me off a little...
I have an addiction to Audio books. What I can't get at the library, I come to Audible and they are always having a sale. I have way more audiobooks than I could possible listen to in over 3 years, but I can't help but adding to my collection and I read a little of everything but mostly romance and paranormal goodies.
"Light hearted vampire story."
This was a cute and funny story. This is the second book in the series and it was much better than A Quick Bite. The dream part made me laugh out loud. Give it try but don't expect great literature.
"loved it"
funny romantic loved the characters
I liked all the characters because to the way they related to each other.
