Vampire, Interrupted: An Argeneau Novel, Book 9

Sorry, loved the book, but the narrator's 'breathy' voice is just not sexy.
I do think that even though Marguerite is supposed to be a 700+ year old vampire, she is supposed to look only 25-35 years old and have a body the same. The narrator may have been better to have made Marguerite's voice more commanding rather than of an older woman's.

Even though the story was better than a three the narrator was so irritating it was hard to listen to to get to the end. I had to take this audible book in small bites just to get to the end. Ms. Sands don't use her again, her talents do not do your books justice.

I've read the book several times but this narrator sucks! She goes way to fast, not giving you time to enjoy the story, has this phony 'breathy' voice. There's very little difference between the dialogue and the descriptions and she makes Tiny sound like he's retarded. I've read all the Argeneau books but didn't like any she's read. The guy reading the others is better. I know everyone cant be as great a Barbara Rosenblatt ( listen to an Amelia Peabody book) but there must be better readers then this one and that's all this, is is someone plodding along, reading words on a page with very little performance involved. When she read my favorite parts of the book I almost didn't recognize them. I'd be willing to buy the book all over again if they got a decent reader. If I hadnt read the books first I'd think this book stunk. It's an insult to Lynsay Sands.

The story is good but the reading is very very bad. Almost painful.

good story

The train, the stairs...basically all the hot scenes. This story is more apealing b/c the characters, though immortal, are older and more mature. They find love after bad relationship choices from their youth and post kids. How many of us can relate to that? I'm glad Margarette found love -after the a#$hole she married previously. Gives some of us a bit of hope even if this is sci-fantasy. LoL

The story is a good one but the narrator made listening to this painful. She sounds too breathy/monotoned and her attempts at doing various character voices made me want to throw my ipod across the room. She made the detective sidekick sound like a cave man instead of sexy. Her performance wasn't authentic and made it difficult to get lost in the story. I don't usually take the time to comment but I had to on this one. She should stick to kids books or something else. Overall, thumbs down.

Julius...mature, moraled/integrity, protective yet respectful of his mate, Italian, alpha male, wealthy, intelligent...swoon. Enough said...

Great story but the narrator should be changed to one of the others she's used.

I have enjoyed Lynsay Sands books therefore I will continue to support her. Victoria McGee has preformed some narrations that I enjoyed, but she did a very poor job showing any enthusiasm for this story.

Margarette of course! I admire her strength of love and dedication she shows her family. She is what every mother should be like; supportive, loving and even a little nosy.

The narration was dull with no life. Although the character voices did change their seemed to be little if any passion or strong emotion. Disappointing...

This made me laugh, smile and cry. Very well written and love how all the little stories from other books make sense in this book, enjoyed this very much.

Well, having read the other reviews, I decided to download the book anyway. Vampires are Forever left the plot line hanging, so... Other reviewers were right - reader's breathy voice, poor reading style (inflection at the wrong part of the sentence, like the end of the written line was the high point in the sentence) makes it annoying. Needs a lesson from Barbara Rosenblatt when it comes to character voices! Hope the story makes up for the narration.

I really like the Argeneau Series, and have purchased them all (up to #18, to date), I like to listen to them in order. I like this story too, except that, out of all the narrators Victoria McGee, is the worst for This Series. It seems to me, that Lynsay Sands just can't find a steady narrator to commit to her series. Despite the too many different readers of the series, I do find her stories interesting and worth the credits. Regarding this story, the editing of this book seemed to be faulty, and made me wonder if a ghost writer was used because there were a couple of times that the storyline did not match within the story itself. And as a fan of the series, I did have some trouble with Linsay's depiction of Marguerite as a "strong-willed airhead" who is too stupid to see past her own selfish desires." I couldn't find any sympathetic "female/motherly commonality" with her and found it hard to believe in light of her other descriptions of Marguerite in other books. This, coupled with the poor narration of the book, led to my noticing absurd things like; the use of the word "adorable" in every book, and the ridiculous number of times the word "peered" was used! LOL. All in all, though, I like the book and enjoy the series. I do recommend it.

Listen to this book before u listen to "under a vampire moon". U will be glad u waited.
