Publisher's Summary

Sharon Osbourne has lived, in her own words, "50 lives in 50 years". As the daughter of notorious rock manager Don Arden, Sharon's childhood was a chaotic mix of glamour and violence, one week touring with Little Richard and Jayne Mansfield, the next meeting the Animals and Electric Light Orchestra. In her late 20s, after years of fierce loyalty to her ruthless father, who had betrayed her many times, Sharon finally made the painful decision to break with her family.

She found her soul mate in rock star Ozzy Osbourne, turning his career around and becoming a legendary manager and rock promoter in her own right. But Ozzy's drug-taking and drinking fuelled excesses, which culminated in an attempt to strangle her, making their marriage a white-knuckle ride from the start. Only her devotion to their three children gave her the will to survive.

    "Extreme Ride"

This book makes an excellent companion book to Ozzy's autobiography. But, more than that, it fills in the blanks that book leaves out. Sharon's life is one gigantic rollercoaster of a ride from day one! What with having the "Godfather of Pop" as a father to her sometimes "nightmarish" marriage to Ozzy. But, despite it all, Sharon comes through with "flying colors." I didn't know what to expect when I first started listening to this book, but I was pleasantly surprised. You come to know Sharon as a person and her personal feelings with each situation in her life. I just wish I had heard of and listened to this book much sooner. The only reason I actually looked this one up was because of Ozzy's book. So I say: don't just listen to this one. Listen to Ozzy's as well. It is like two sides of a puzzle fitting perfectly together. Great book. Great narration. Well-deserving of the five-star rating.

    "DELIGHTFUL"

I very much enjoyed this autobiography by Sharon Osborn. I watched the show "The Osborns" on MTW and have always been a fan of Kelly Osborn ... but this book gave me a deeper look into the family that created it all and the amazing woman at the head of it all.

WARNING: Sharon has and EXTREME potty mouth. LOL Don't get me wrong I curse like a sailor myself. But I wasn't expecting her to say the F word and the S word in the first three sentences. But by the end of the book I hardly even noticed the cursing. Its just the way Sharon talks. And I love her filfthy mouth!

I do have to say that this audio book moved me more than I expected and even drew me to tears in the last few lines. Sharon ends the book on such a touching note that it would bring trears to even the most rigid of individuals. Tears came streaming down my face as she completed her story with a touching moment of clarity in her life. It truly was moving. Thats all I can say.

    Definitely Read This Book

Sharon is very entertaining, but this book is only high level general information without anything happening in the last 10 years included.
