Publisher's Summary

She will take him beyond his wildest dreams. As Demon King, Noah is dedicated to protecting his kind from their human and Nightwalker enemies. Yet for six months he has struggled with vivid dreams that threaten his very sanity. Every night he's tormented by images of a woman both achingly real and tantalizingly beyond his grasp. And his bone-deep need leaves him no choice but to force her to leave the life she's known and enter a world beyond her imagining...

Every day, Kestra risks her life in perilous missions that veer just shy of the law, but she instinctively knows that the imposingly sensual figure before her is a danger unlike any she's ever faced. Kestra has sworn never to trust or need another man, but Noah's lightest touch scorches her with fevered desire, branding her as his mate, blinding them both to the terrifying truth. For within the ranks of their own people lies an adversary growing in number and power. And nothing and no one will be safe again...

Spend some more time with the Nightwalkers - if you dare.

    Story
    "Driven Crazy by the Moon!"
What did you love best about Noah?

This is Noah’s story (obviously, right?) So we have to take all the things that we have learned about Noah in the last 4 books and apply them to his story. He is a diplomat, a brother, an Uncle, a friend, and a king. What we haven’t seen yet is Noah in love.

We have seen the brotherly love he has shown for his sisters, but not the real pull at your heart strings, can’t get enough of her, on my mind every waking moment type love. But one other thing we mustn’t forget about Noah is that he is a demon and as a demon he is susceptible to the madness that the call of the moon at Beltane and Samhain can bring.

In this story, Jacquelyn Frank shows us how the pull of the moon can drive a man do things he would never do if he were in his right mind. It will be the enforcers, Jacob and Isabella, that will have to dole out Noah’s punishment for his little indiscretion.

Kestra is the one that is meant for Noah and she is a strong woman. She is tuff and doesn’t take crap from anybody. She has dreams about a mystery man for several months, but when some guy just shows up and tells her that she is his soulmate and now they will be together forever … well, he has another thing coming! She is not just going to roll over and act all submissive and let him dominate her. She doesn’t care who he is. As far as she is concerned all that soulmate stuff is a bunch of crap.

This story was a great addition to the series. I loved the dynamic between Noah and Kestra. I enjoyed that they didn’t just meet and fall love and live happily ever after. I also enjoyed how Kestra was not a girly, girly but more of a tuff warrior babe type person and she stayed true to form right to the end.

When this story ended, there were a lot of unanswered questions but I don’t feel like I was left hanging. We now have quite a few mixtures of races and we don’t know what all the different new guys (and gals) can do. I will be looking forward to the next in the series.

What about Xe Sands’s performance did you like?

Xe Sands was the narrator for this book as well as for the other four in the series. As always, she uses her rich sultry voice to immediately draw you into the story and keep you listening well into the night. She really captures the essence of the love and romance that goes on in these books.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Absolutely!

    Story
    "I might have to relisten..."

I love... absolutely love the Nightwalker series… Every single book in the series, I love...

That being said, I do not like the new demon queen. She is not right for Noah... I have been waiting and waiting for Noah's story, and then he gets Kastra. What! I mean, I understand where Frank was trying to go with Kastra... Yes, the girl has got to be one tough cookie to be a demon queen, but Kastra is a little too tough. Poor Noah! I just wanted him to fall in love like Jacob did, but I guess I have to deal with a little sadness. But why Noah? He even made Isabella mad!!! OMG!! Why so much unrest for poor, poor Noah... Yes... great ending, leading up to the next book, but I still don't like Kastra. Then, she can't give him an heir. WHAT!!! Dang it... the more I write about her, the more I don't like her, even though she is such the perfect queen for Noah.

Let me say this, it’s not that I don't like Kastra, I just didn't like all the misfortune for Noah and Kastra. Even though, this was an awesome book, all the sadness, non-trust, and anger just through me for a loop. I was expecting the grand love story and I got heartache.

I think this book was a filler as well, like Gideon. The only plot point, once again revolved around Beth's story. It was too much of Noah and Kastra background, and then Kastra left! Sooo... I don't know... I will re-listen, but I still don't think I will like Kastra, even though she fits with Noah as his Queen well, I just don't like her. She just too dang tough.... UGH!!! Sooo on the fence here with Kastra!!!

Love Xe Sands once again. Best Narrator on Audible. Great Book, worth the credit. Don't buy... just wait for your free credit. A must if you are listen to all the Nightwalkers series, but I was a little disappointed in the queen.

I used to be an avid reader of Romance novels. I usually preferred the Harlequin & Silhouette series''. I would read several books a day over the summer and several a week during school months. I took a long break as an adult but have gotten back to it this year and am very much enjoying my Audible experience. So far I still really like general Romance but have found a real unexpected joy in Supernatural & Paranormal Romances.

"I love Xe Sands & Jacquelyn Frank"

They're an amazing combination for this series. I don't think a better narrator could have been found. The voices, accents, and emotions portrayed make a great book & great series even better.

I'm sad that this is the next-to-last book. Hopefully other books from Jacquelyn Frank will be as good and I can content myself with them.

I highly recommend every single book in this series. Be sure to read them from book 1. They're all exciting, fun, funny, sweet, romantic and sexy.

"King of the Demons siezes control of his fate."
Where does Noah rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I have nearly 200 books so it is quite a compliment to say Noah is among my top 20.

What did you like best about this story?

I really admired how Noah fought so many seemingly unsurmoutable obsticals with his usual determination and steadfastness to create his own destiny.

    Which scene was your favorite?

Watching Noah begin to train his mate in the use of her power was fun, exciting, and tender all at the same time.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No - it was quite enjoyable to pace this one out over the course of several days.

    Any additional comments?

My second favorite in the series - definitely worth the credit!

I've always been a avid reader so now I'm a avid listener. I prefer the paranormal genre but I do like to switch things up. It's boring if you don't have variety. Of course I do love the romance and the hotter the better. Also, you can't beat a good thriller filled with suspense and a ending you can't even guess at until the very end.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, it's a great addition to a very interesting series.

Have you listened to any of Xe Sands’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

All the previous books in this series. She does a great job in those and in this one.

    Any additional comments?

I've enjoyed all the previous books in this series and this one. Sometimes you get bored with a series of books, but this one keeps my interest and I just can't wait until the next one. I think it's well worth the credit or purchase price.

"Whats with Noahs change of vocabulary?"
    Any additional comments?

I dont understand what happened to Noah. I hated everytime he called Kestra Baby or Babe. None of the other elders spoke that way & Noah never gave any clue in all the other books that he had that kind of vocabulary. I was disappointed. It made him sound too modern & not like him at all. I think Kestras constant fight against her fate was a bit over board & exasperating. I think the only reason I even finished the book was because I love ALL the other characters sooo much. I truly dont look forward to Adam because I really dont look forward to Jazmine either. Jazmine grates on my nerves. BUT I of course I will read it because of the other characters.

I have listened to this one numerous times, and I love it each time. The story is addicting, and add XeXe, you got a winner. Although I like some of the other series, none compares to the Nightwalkers!
