"Jane gets into a complicated stew involving human and vampire rivalries, the ancient vampire-witch conflict, the New Orleans police, and her need to balance her beast and human natures. What with puzzles, chases (including a climactic one to rescue children), lots of blood, and some explicit sex, count on this to please thriller and dark romance fans alike." (Booklist)
"Blood Cross: Jane Yellowrock, Book 2"
This is another great tale with Jane Yellowrock. The author creates a strong, female character, who also is vulnerable in some ways. There is enough intrique and action to keep you interested. The story is developed well. I enjoy the toughness and sometimes softness of the main character. I look forward to future stories with Jane Yellowrock.

"GO JANE!!! GO FAITH!! AND GO KHRISTINE!!"
This is one of my favorite authors, series and narrators. I have listened to this series several times and I enjoy it more each time I listen to it. Khristine Hvam does a fantastic job with the narration. I do love the Cherokee that is brought into the story. Hearing the language of The People, just makes the story pop off the pages for me. I do listen while I am reading along, and Khristine pauses where Faith pauses (commas etc.) I think that a lot of times, we miss things when we don't see print. HOWEVER I love my audio books and this series. Jane Yellowrock is a good person as well as a great vamp killer!! And I do love Angie-baby! She will break your heart. I just want to squeeze her but Big Cat would take my head off. These are great stories, lots of background and history (at least for me), and a very interesting take on where vamps started. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
"Loved It"
Great narration. I like to list this first as it can make or break a story.
Loved this story. Easy listerning and very entertaining. Will be impatiently waiting for any new books in audio from this author.
I really enjoy it when readers with similar reading interests list their favourite authors and series. It really helps me find new authors too follow. Mine are Charlaine Harris, Jeaniene Frost, Jennifer Estep, Faith Hunter, Molly Harper, Ilona Andrews, Kresley Cole, Deborah Harkness, Nalini Singh, Coreene Callahan and Sherrilyn Kenyon.
Happy Reading
Hi all fellow listeners. I am disabled and spend most my time at home or walking my beautiful Jack Russell dog Sydney. I live for my dog and fantasy world. Keeps me going having this wonderful site to get all my books from. Remember to laugh and smile every day and throw some love into the mix :)
"Awesome series, please give us more"
I have listened to the entire series so far and have enjoyed it very much. I hope there will be many more books to this great series. I will be purchasing them as soon as they come out. :)
"Better than most!"
Ordered this book because of a review somewhere else, had minimal expectations. Oh dear, it was addicting. I will admit to going to the car and sitting in it so I could find out what happened next when I didn't have a need to go anywhere. And it was over 100° out there, but I still sat in the car to listen. I really wanted to know what happened next. When I finished this one, (book 2), the first thing I did when I got to my destination was order book 3. Good book!
I mostly read paranormal romance books.
"Good book, good series."
I would listen to it again because it moved along enough that I wouldn't get bored with drawn out scenes. The characters are strong enough to hold my interest and not annoy me.
I really think the character development is done well. Each person is distinctive and interesting.
I really like this series so far and plan on listening to the next books. If you are looking for a strong "romance" book, this does not focus on that, though there are developing relationships.
"good story"
the shipping of the character into beast and the dialogue that insues.
I think that they're very nice elements in this book for worth reading.I would definitely recommend this time friends that enjoy vampire mythology
her southern accents really things quite interesting. Jane Yellowrock it's definitely great voice
NoI one of those nooks.
I really like thrillers. My favorite type of movie or book is one that has a unique perspective instead of a different version of the same story repeated by many different writers throughout the years. Many books are fine for a one-time listen, but to find one that's good enough to listen to again and again is a rare find indeed!!
"Better Than The First One!!"
"Blood Cross" picks up where "Skinwalker" ended. In my opinion, this second in the Jane Yellowrock series is better than the first. By the time I started listening to this book, the reader's accent, to which I had a slight objection in the first book, had become part and parcel of the story.
In this second book, you find out more information about Jane's background as well as about the vamps and how they came to be -- which is worth listening to both books!! This is where the uniqueness of Faith Hunter's imagination comes into play and what I truly enjoyed -- especially as a follower of Jesus, the Christ!!
The storyline is so unique!! There's plenty of danger because there's always the threat of the vamps she works for either putting her in danger from other vamps or being a threat to Jane all by themselves.
Then there's the love/lust interests. I'm not big on romantic novels, yet this novel doesn't throw in more than I can handle. Jane seems to be torn between two incredibly difficult-to-choose-from men who come into her life in the first book and are still there in the second one. I can see why SHE would have trouble choosing, but if I were in her shoes -- or boots -- I know exactly which one I'd pick!!
Surprise galore, danger just around the bend, who to trust and who not to, who to love and who not to, seeking answers to her past, finding out the origins of the vamps -- definitely a must read!! Especially if you've already read "Skinwalker"!!!
"Have definitely become a FAN......"
Jane was fighting death at every turn. The story had a good pace, with lots of action.
She does a great job with the different voices, and brings them to life for me.
I was unsure about whether I liked this series when I finished the first book. But I'm so glad that I decided to get the second, I could not put it down. I have definitely become a fan of both Faith and Khristine, can't wait to start the next book. My only complaint is that it is PG-13, I would like it a little bit more steamy.
"Persuaded by Love"
I loved the characters and the storyline of this novel. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 out of 5 was because she choose Rick as here lover. I say that because in the books I have listened to so far he is the least developed character and I feel like it is a cop out. I get that Jane's character kills vamps and all but there could have been more to it then what Faith gave us.
