It begins with the appearance of a stranger at his door. The next day his wife Lily disappears, leaving a note behind begging Pete not to follow her.
Now, with a business card from an antiques dealer in Barcelona as his only lead, he sets out to find his missing wife. But each door Pete opens leads him deeper into a painful and shocking past.
A haunting parable of good and evil and all the shades of humanity in between, Turncoat is a rocket-paced roller-coaster ride with surprises at every turn.

"If it's true that readers like nothing more than to be surprised, then they're in store for many pleasures in this Elkins thriller....For lucky listeners, the story entails unexpected twists on every cassette." (AudioFile)
"Wasn't sure where this one was going..."
Thoughtful
Twisting
Worthwhile
Most: The listener ( at least this one ) never knows where the resolution is, and how to get there. Fascinating at times.
Least: None to speak of, but some of the characters rationales are abit of a stretch.
His accents and age differentials for the characters work well.
You just never know.
Well worth the investment of time. This story grows on you.
