Leah Pilgrim has watched the tenants of the house over the road for several years, and when the owner of 31 Silversmith Road asks her for advice, he opens the door not only to the eccentric building across the street but to five lives in various stages of turmoil.

"Awful"
What a horror of a book, totally boring and mind numbing. I download to disk and I am struggling at disk 4 I will not be downloading or listening to part 2. enough is enough. what a waste of money. The narrator would be great at reading newspapers thats about all.The story falls far short of what I thought would be a quirky story, instead its mundane and uninteresting. I will never again have anything by this author or narrator. most of all the narrator. I am not sure this book could have been saved with a narrator with any sort of personality I personally dont think so, the drone of his voice and lack of any sort of inflection made me cringe
