Publisher's Summary

Godless is the most explosive book yet from #1 New York Times best-selling author Ann Coulter. In this completely original and thoroughly controversial work, Coulter writes, "Liberals love to boast that they are not 'religious', which is what one would expect to hear from the state-sanctioned religion. Of course liberalism is a religion. It has its own cosmology, its own miracles, its own beliefs in the supernatural, its own churches, its own high priests, its own saints, its own total worldview, and its own explanation of the existence of the universe. In other words, liberalism contains all the attributes of what is generally known as 'religion'."

    "Demagogic and Disappointing"

Having just finished reading Demonic I was looking forward to Coulter's razor logic and irrefutable arguments in this volume. Although elements were there, Coulter was far less disciplined in her arguments in this book.
Many of the elements which Coulter attributed to "Liberals" were, in fact, truthful. However, making blanket statements about members and beliefs of a political party can be hazardous. Coulter ignored those hazards and plunged ahead with the same mindless demagoguery that Liberals so often use when attempting to denigrate members of the Tea Party and other Center Right and Right Wing groups. She selected in many cases the most extreme views and applied them without discrimination to all Liberals, a thing which is as unsustainable as applying the extremist philosophies of some right wing individuals to all of us on the right. It just doesn't cut it.
When discussing Darwinian theory Coulter is excellent, but, again, she tends to extremes which make much of what she is saying less palatable.
Demonic was a superbly written book which could well become a textbook of the right and righteous. This book was a diatribe written more in anger than logical thought. This style of writing and talking has driven me away from listening to many right wing commentators, Coulter among them, as they tend to make representations which do not stand up to logical argument. Demonic on the other hand is a wonderful source for argument and historic reference. That is what I seek, not blind fanaticism that convinces only members of the choir. Hopefully, Demonic will be the forerunner of the future style of Coulter's writing and talking. She is unquestionably brilliant and well versed. She needs to stick to facts and avoid emotionalism which drives a good deal of Godless.

    "Somebodies ears are burning"

Wow! I got this to keep me awake as I drove through the night. I chose a controversial book for that purpose. And it worked

I didn't think I would laugh so hard. She makes very good arguments for her positions with scalding little jabs that fit so well even liberals have to swallow a smile. Both Clintons had to put aloe vera on their ears.

This is ultra conservative in nature and a good read from that point of view. Political correctness is not one of her virtues - I found that refreshing.

    "All out frankness"

Ann Coulter has no gloves on and is all out brutally honest and frank in her non politically correct approach. The audible edition further sharpens the intellectual onslaught on liberalism. This is for people who have nerves of steel because if your offended by the truth or intellectual acumen then prepare yourself, Ann Coulter's Godless is merciless in pointing out the hypocrisy and illogical stances of liberalism.

    "Very polarized, very repetitive"

As a Canadian, it took me a little bit of time to become fully acquainted with all of the terms that the author uses for each political party, and each political point of view. Fortunately, she repeats herself so often, that it sank in within the first hour.

She is rabidly anti-Liberal - which is a fine opinion, and one she is entitled to. I tend to see the idiocy in most of the policies of both major parties, and wonder why the rest of the population doesn't rise up and install new leadership. Oh well, it's tough to change things sometimes.

Either way, she points to some of the more obvious faults of the Liberal world view, and of course says nothing to besmirch the Republicans.

I probably could have gotten through her rabid diatribe, except that she repeats herself far too much. Twice, three times, I probably could have handled... I draw the line at six... on every single topic.

This is the first audiobook I've deleted without listening to the entire thing.

    "Godless (Ann Coulter)"

Start listening at any random place and it is side-slapping hilariously funny. For about 10 minutes. After 10 more you realize she has only one note. By the time half an hour has gone by you'd rather take the Chinese water torture. Her rhetoric is built in classic demagogue architectural style: exaggerate ad nauseum a few very carefully selected and polished anecdotes that support your ideology, and avoid letting on the slightest hint that there are as many or more anecdotes that refute it.

    "Ann's Best."

While I wish Ann had read the entire book herself, it's still great. It's my go to book for someone who hasn't read any of Ann's books before. Hilarious, punchy and worth every minute.

"A Wonderful Book, With One Reservation"

The one thing I do want to comment on specifically is the quality of the recording. The reader does a great job, but I think the recordings would have been much better if they had put chapter breaks in the recordings which corresponded to the actual chapter breaks in the book. There are times when I want to skip around to different chapters, and it's rather difficult to do so because the breaks in the recording have nothing to do with the breaks in the book. This is an unnecessary annoyance, and I hope that this gets corrected for future books.

    "Interesting read"

WOW ! that is all I have to say. 12 hours of the most deranged vitriolic utterances one will ever hear. Another case of a vehemently devout religious type using the good intentions of religion to seperate and divide. On the other hand I listened intently to the whole thing 12 hours worth shaking my head the entire time. She is a talented writer and every progressive thinking person out there should listen to this entertaining book no matter how much you'll disagree with what she says. The difference between us liberals and the neo-con's is that we will always stand up for thier rights to personally attack those they disagree with.

    "Finally!!!"

What a gutsy person! Ann courageously stands up to the left, and shouts those unspoken truths to their faces. And the worst replies she gets is the whines and tears from surprised liberals who can’t imagine why anyone would target poor grieving (and EXTREMELY RICH) widows! I am still waiting to hear what they say when they read what she wrote on the public school system (indoctrination of our children into the state religion), the teachers (their lies about not being paid enough when they make more money than most other professions, which we should understand, considering the ridiculous college courses they have to take), and the Darwin Theory of evolution (refuted time and time again, but yet, our kids are fed in schools it is *THE ONLY* explanation of why we are here)...but I won't hold my breath.
