“Thanks to Suzanne Brockmann’s glorious pen, we all get to revel in heartstopping adventure and blistering romance.” (Romantic Times)
I used to be an avid reader of Romance novels. I usually preferred the Harlequin & Silhouette series''. I would read several books a day over the summer and several a week during school months. I took a long break as an adult but have gotten back to it this year and am very much enjoying my Audible experience. So far I still really like general Romance but have found a real unexpected joy in Supernatural & Paranormal Romances.
"Better than the first one..."
I got into this book a lot more quickly and easily than the first of the series. I was doubtful after that one about continuing to read, but decided to give it a try because this one was on sale. The author really stepped it up, so I'm looking forward to getting the next one.
Having grown up in a small town in the south, I can empathize with the main characters and the things that they deal with. The 'who dun it' thing was good too since I was able to tell somewhat who was involved, but couldn't guess exactly who and why.
If I had a complaint it would be the narrator's inconsistency in voices and accents. But, that wasn't so distracting that it took away from the story.
"Steamy romance"
If you want the good guys to always win, the gal to win her man's heart, and some rock solid bodies to dream about, this is the book/series for you! The story also has some intrigue in it, but it's still a great and steamy romance throughout. Love it!
"Fun & thrilling romantic thriller!"
Again, another fun and romantic story from Suzanne Brockmann. In this one, there is a murder and, again, many misunderstandings and problems that stand in the way of the main characters finding their own personal "happily ever after." I loved the two main characters and felt like I was hanging on the edge of my seat, hoping that they could find their way out of their problems and into one another's lives. The murder-mystery component to this story was really fun and suprisingly nerve-wracking. Overall, a very good book!
I have an addiction to Audio books. What I can't get at the library, I come to Audible and they are always having a sale. I have way more audiobooks than I could possible listen to in over 3 years, but I can't help but adding to my collection and I read a little of everything but mostly romance and paranormal goodies.
"Deep breathe before going under."
Another Navy Seal series and it’s a hit. This book like Prince Joe was simple and easy to listen to. It lacked the amount of the two main characters “knowing” what the other thought, and being wrong of the first book. I plan to read the remaining books in the series. Suzanne Brockmann defiantly improves her writing skills the more she is published.
