"I'm Hooked"
I started reading Jo Nesbø a few months ago and cannot get enough. Headhunters is a wonderful story, full of intrigue, action, horror and humour. Nesbø has a wonderful way with words and descriptions that often make me smile at his ingenuity.
Sean Barrett is magnificent. The best Narrator I've had the pleasure to listen to. Accents, languages, gender, emotion all seem to flow effortlessly (I'm sure it is actually VERY hard work). He takes you inside in a way that the narration actually disappears as you are pulled into the plot, characters, locations . . . the story.
Headhunters, for me, was a nice break from Harry Hole. But it fed my desire to read more by this gifted author.4 of 4 people found this review helpful -

"Nesbo's black humour reigns"
What made the experience of listening to Headhunters the most enjoyable?Sean Barretts narration as always is the perfect voice for Nesbo's anti-heros
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?Time differential between the deaths in the apartment not being considered seriously by the police was a weak link in the plot.
Have you listened to any of Sean Barrett’s other performances before? How does this one compare?Yes excellent as always.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?A slight smile at the end when the twist is revealed.
Any additional comments?I read this whilst suffering withdrawal symptoms from finishing the last Harry Hole novel 'Phantom' Some of the extreme escapes require the reader to suspend belief but on the whole Another excellent effort from Nesbo and Barrett the perfect team!

"Good plot not enitirely animated by performance"
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?Maybe, the story is interesting but the characters not so likeable. I prefer the Harry Holes Series but have not listened to these as audiobooks.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Headhunters?The barn scene with the dog is rather entertaining.
What aspect of Sean Barrett’s performance would you have changed?More animation.
Was Headhunters worth the listening time?Yes, but wouldn't go there again.

"An island of brilliance in a sea of mediocrity"
Ive been searching for months for a new book to grab my attention, demand my time and light that spark of imagination that only a few can. I've wasted a lot of money on trying new Authors, constantly putting them aside as they fail to deliver any suspense or surprise - but I've found my successor to Larsen. Cant wait to down load the rest of Nesbo's books.

"Very clever"
What did you love best about Headhunters?I loved the fast moving thirller.
What about Sean Barrett’s performance did you like?Sean Barrett is synonomous with Jo Nesbo novels.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?Although some scenes are realy graphical, I really liked it.
Any additional comments?The movie (in Norwegian with english subtitles) are coming soon!

What other book might you compare Headhunters to and why?This is not an easy book to categorise. While being a thriller, it has an unusual flow and bridges the gap with a more serious novel format.
