Two weeks before Christmas, Wilkinson goes on a routine business trip that will forever entangle their two lives. It starts like so many others. Wilkinson calls for a car service to take him to the airport. But the driver of Lincoln Town Car 716 is late. When he finally shows up, he drives like a maniac, and Wilkinson feels fortunate to reach the airport alive.
Then he makes a big mistake. He calls the limousine company to complain. Customer Service assures him that the bad driver will be "dealt with". Nicolai Kyznetsoff looks and sounds like all the anonymous others who whisk successful executives back and forth to the airport every day, but the man behind the wheel of Car 716 is something much more sinister: an avenging dark angel who will stop at nothing to wreak revenge on the one man he holds responsible for ruining his life.

"Scary Ride!"
This book is much darker than the Ceepak & Boyle series but well written and suspenseful. He has jumped to the ranks of my favorite authors list quickly!
"Fantastic!"
I loved this book – I almost didn't get it because I had never listed to this author/reader - I'm so thrilled I listened to the sample and gave the book a try. As other reviewers have said - it can be quite dark and gruesome in some parts but very funny in others - oh, and not very PC in some - but I like the fact the author didn't back down. I’m going to check out the other 3 books by this author and see if they come close – they have the same narrator (and I plan on seeing what else this narrator has done – he’s fantastic!)
"The Cabbie From Hell"
Slay Ride starts in low but quickly shifts into high gear as you are introduced to a sociopathic cabdriver who escalates a minor disagreement with a fare into full blown life and death conflict with the lives of innocent people hanging in the balance. This is a very good tale of what can happen when two people have an unhappy ride to the airport for one of them to catch a flight. This kind of confrontation happens thousands of times a day in modern America, road rage that starts innocently enough and then boils over in senseless retribution and revenge. Hang on to your seat and go along for the ride with the cabbie from hell.

"Disappointing"
I listened to this book after Tilt-A-Whirl. Where TAW was written in a Carl Hyancinth style with characters that were entertaining this book tried to be more "realistic" . The result was for me the typical formula thriller. The characters were stereotypical, the dialog was atrocious, the story moved slowly. While I would recommend TAW to anyone who is a fan of Christopher Moore, Carl Hyacinth, this one should be left on the shelf (virtual shelf)
"MORE THAN I BARGAINED FOR!"
Excellent read.I was pleasantly surprised and now I have found a new author that I can follow. I am anxiously awaiting his 2nd novel. This one certainly kept you on the edge.
"Very enjoyable."
The plot's nice, and the author handles the characters and details well. The suspense reaches high levels, but for me it did not become unpleasantly grisly or morbid. I would have liked a longer book (8 hours is great reading but a little too short for my money), but despite that I am just about to download my next Chris Grabenstein book. The narrative in this book is among the best ever. Woodman is excellent with foreign accents (including the brief Asian one). I might download an audiobook just for this narrator!
"I Thoroughly Enjoyed the Ride"
I totally enjoyed Slay Ride, by Chris Grabenstein. The narrator, Jeff Woodman, did a wonderful job as well, and although I am French, I really loved listening to his Russian words :)
I would totally recommend this book to anyone looking for a good audiobook. It's only 8 hours long, for those listeners who don't like long stories, which of course wasn't long enough for me. I love a good 15-20+ hour long audiobook as I listen quite often in my car. Although some parts of the story have some graphic language and scenes, it all went with the story quite well.
A+ to you both - I will definitely listen to more books written by Chris Grabenstein and narrated by Jeff Woodman!

Reading has always been my guilty pleasure. I would take stacks of books from the library. Now I listen to Audible.
"Chris Grabenstein + Jeff Woodman = Pure Pleasure"
I love this combination. The book was terrific and the narration was the best!!!
Thank you and please team up on more books.
"be nice to your driver"
I'm not much into thrillers but I can say the story was thrilling and kept me listening. All characters are well-drawn. The story is rather violent at times though.
The narration was fine, I particularly liked the different accents.
"Not your genre, Chris."
This is a grisly novel with no endearing characters, although the good guy is truly good. Not badly written, but not Chris Grabenstein's genre.
