Now she'll do anything to find him...lie, cheat, even subject herself to the predatory advances of Alex's T-FLAC partner, Marc Savin, if it will help get her brother home safe.
But trusting the sexy, brooding operative might just be the risk of a lifetime.

"Cherry Adair writes for those of us who love romantic-suspense fast and hot." (Jayne Ann Krentz)
I honestly write these reviews in a spirit of sharing and helpfulness. I have no idea why I always end up sounding so snotty...
"Redundantly Blond"
I have only listened to 2 hours of this book but I thought some of you might like to know why I won't be able to finish:
I was looking for an Anne Stuart-esque romantic thriller and so I was disappointed by this very traditional 'Foolish blond meets taller and wiser he-male' story. In general I dislike hearing stories of women I wouldn't have the patience to talk to were we to actually meet. The hero may have potential but I can't stick around to watch him lower his standards with such a big baby, so I can't say for sure.
But perhaps the author is targeting a more 'light-brained' readership as she frequently repeats herself, letting us know a good three or four times (for example) that the hero is not usually attracted to weak-minded/feeble-bodied women such as the heroine but is somehow drawn to her against his will.
I had no trouble resisting her or anthing else about the audio program. I wish you better luck.
"A Crushing DIsappointment"
I was excited to find that Audible carried this audiobook. After having read excerpts from the other books in this series, I looked forward to read this story. Disappointment doesn't describe how I felt after reading it. I can't understand how far off the mark, how far below expectations this book fell. Victoria, the female protagonist, was an embarrassment. When I wasn't feeling disgusted by her behavior, I was incredulous that she could say some of the things she'd said; she fluctuated between being whiny and brainless. How Mark, the male lead, could be attracted to such a woman is beyond me!
"a little unrealistic"
Decent enough listen, good character development and interesting plot, but towards the end, I couldn't believe how unrealistic it became, almost to the point of being ridiculous. I made it to the end, but barely.
"Enjoyed this very much"
I listen to longer books while doing a lot of driving and this one kept me entertained easily. Would recommend to anyone who like a romance with the strong in charge man.
"Narrator Ruined This Book For Me"
I had read this book years ago when it first came out and thought it excellent. I was excited to see it offered on audio. But in this audio version the narrator turned the somewhat shy quiet heroine with a personality from the book into a big pitiful wimp in the audio version!! Very disappointed! So disappointed I could not even finish listening to the book.
