Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.... Since 9/11, Brooklyn firefighter Griff Muir has wrestled with impossible feelings for his best friend and partner at Ladder 181, Dante Anastagio. Unfortunately, Dante is strictly a ladies’ man, and the FDNY isn’t exactly gay-friendly. For ten years, Griff has hidden his heart in a half-life of public heroics and private anguish. Griff’s caution and Dante’s cockiness make them an unbeatable team. To protect his buddy, there’s nothing Griff wouldn’t do…until a nearly bankrupt Dante proposes the worst possible solution: HotHead.com, a gay porn website where uniformed hunks get down and dirty. And Dante wants them to appear there - together. Griff may have to guard his heart and live out his darkest fantasies on camera. Can he rescue the man he loves without wrecking their careers, their families, or their friendship?

"Damon Suede is a hit!"
I read the book when it came out. It was awesome! Down to earth, sexy and a plain great read...
The extras scene in hothead.. Whoa.. That was hott! The morning after in bed was a touching scene too.
Since I read it before I had my own "voices" so was a bit afraid to listen. Charlie David did a great job. Not exactly what I had in mind but it became Dante and Griffin as the story began.
Yes but alas, life gets in the way
I love you too. Like, I thought I'd die from it..
Awwww
"Both Fun and Emotionally Touching"
The emotional struggle that almost becomes tiresome is saved by moments of lighthearted banter and very hot sex scenes. Overall that performance was very good and the story is great. Worth buying.
"Awesome Performance!!"
No, but I really enjoyed it the first time.
Both Griff and Dante are awesome characters. I really wanted their story to continue.
He did the Brooklyn accent fabulously. He also did a great Russian accent. He really made all the characters come to life.
I would call it "Smoke and Fire" I actually didn't like Hot Head as a title.
This was a great story. The only thing that annoyed me is that the angst goes on a little to long. At one point I just wanted to slap both MCs. But the payoff is worth it!
"HOT !!"
Hot story!
Not the best but acceptable.
Kellen Lutz = Griffin Muir
Justin Baldoni = Dante Anastagio
I liked it!!
"Loved the story"
funny, romance, feeling
I like the whole storyline. and I hope there will be a second book
No I did not listen too other narration from Charlie David
I tried but I heard this book more then once
"Great narration!"
Yes!
There is a misogynistic undertone to the entire book:(
Charlie David is a brilliant narrator! His characterizations, inflections, and his performance of all the onomatopoeia add so much dimension to the simple text of the book! Well cast:)
Go out and read something!
"One of the best romances I've ever read"
Hot Head ranks at the very top!
BEST QUOTE/SCENE EVER:
His fingers roamed over Dante, marking his skin with handprints, memorizing it. “This belongs to me. Only me. No one else can have it. Not even you. It’s mine. You’re mine.” <-- Can you just IMAGINE? If that quote doesn’t move you to go get this book, I don’t know what will.
He has a wonderful voice. He brings the story to life with the multiple accents and personalities in the book. Flawless execution.
Griff ALL THE WAY! I love him. I understood him. I want to befriend him.
ONE. OF. THE. BEST. ROMANCE. NOVELS. EVER.
I can't say enough about this book. I know some people out there are intimidated by M/M romance novels, and that's a true shame because this book is utterly phenomenal.
Enter Griff who is a muscle bound, red-haired, fair skinned, firefighter who happens to be in love with his best friend, and fellow firefighter, Dante. They've been best friends forever, yet on 9/11, after searching for him during that horrendous nightmare, Griff realized that he had immense feelings for Dante. But Griff is tortured. Imagine loving your best friend, but being unable to tell him. Imagine that ache, that longing, that fear. Well, Damon Suede has created two amazingly complex characters and allows us readers to see, feel, and become a part of that world. I want to thank him for creating a book focused on an every-day situation, and brought life, heart, raw, and honest feelings that you can relate to. Suede is a highly clever writer who uses words, and imagery to set the scene for even the most unimaginative reader. I can’t say enough about this book. I really can’t. I read it in 24 hours, and had no problem for-going sleep to finish it.
I really enjoy the world of books! Narration just add layers to that world... don't u think? :)
"Surprise, there is actually a good story!"
I was totally SLAPPED! All in my face... I couldn't believe there was a actual story here. I thought I was going to get some m/m erotica and then Wamp! Totally love story... and I loved it. The beginning was a little slow for take off, but around like chapter 3 or 4, the storyline picks up and stays that way til the end of the book. G is just sooo adorable that you cannot help but to fall completely in love with him and D, well, his whole personality makes him HOT. A real HOT HEAD! Perfect title to describe D. G is the most def the reasonable one, but D... he so mischievous that you just love him. GREAT GREAT!
This was my first Charlie David, and I really liked him. I think I will search for more David books, and see what I luck up with.
"Steamy love story!!"
I can honestly say that Hot Head is one of my favorite audiobooks! I plan on listening to it again.
I've listened to Falling and I have to say that he does a great job at bringing characters to life.
"Hot Book with HOT Narrator"
This is an outstanding story that contains richly developed characters and truly great narration.
Although the story itself is quite good, clearly Charlie David's narration was my favorite part.
All of them. It is clear that his fine acting skills make all the difference in the world to his ability to inhabit his characterizations.
Why rename it, it is just perfect as it is!
I can't wait to hear another Damon Suede story narrated by Charlie David!!!
