"MUCH better than the first book."
Have you listened to any of Peter Ganim’s other performances before? How does this one compare?This one is much better. In "The Infection", book 1 of this series, he was absolutely dreadful. It's hard to believe this performance is by the same person, it's drastically better.
Any additional comments?Still has plot holes. Gasoline should probably be degraded by now, car batteries shouldn't still be able to turn a car over on the first try. No mention of where all the ammo is coming from, especially the AT and HE rounds. Small arms firing tracer rounds makes no sense - They completely foul out a barrel in short order, unless that's all they could find, but that wasn't mentioned. 800 RPM machine guns under sustained fire for 30+ minutes would melt the barrels.. Little details that a little more research or an editor should have caught.

"Great Action! Great story!!!"
Would you consider the audio edition of The Killing Floor to be better than the print version?The sequel to The Infection is far better than the first in the series. The clicks of survivors, the military, the zombies, and monsters are now after ONE man. Some want to kill him, some want to follow him, and some want his blood to end the infection. It seems most everyone has lost their minds and irrational acts of survival seem to pop up in all groups. Gory, terrifying, and ACTION PACKED this was not a let down...I LOOK FORWARD TO BOOK THREE.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?YES... I tried but life got in the way!!! LOL

"Book 2,another mediocre read/listen."
I've come to find out that when reading listeners reviews of zombie books,there are real reviews,and then there are reviews by zombie story fanatics. To the fanatics,every zombie story is the best they have ever read,everyone else has higher expectations.
The idea of where the story can go is what got me to buy the second book. In my opinion,the first two "books" should have been both chopped in half and made into a single book. It was OK,but rarely did I get sucked into listening because the author had hooked me on an intense moment or passage.
Honestly,I wouldn't recommend this to anyone unless you just like zombie story's simply because they have zombies in them.5 of 9 people found this review helpful -

Any additional comments?This was my third Craig Dilouie book and I have enjoyed all of them thoroughly. I may have to try a Dilouie no zombie book next.

"Not nearly as good as the 1st."
Would you try another book from Craig DiLouie and/or Peter Ganim?Yes
Would you be willing to try another book from Craig DiLouie? Why or why not?Yes, because the first book really sucked me in.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?I don't know, it was the book. It didn't have the gravity of the first book.
Do you think The Killing Floor needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?Perhaps, but I'm not sure if I would give it my time.
Any additional comments?I expect the book to return us to Sarge but instead almost right from the get go, introduced us to new characters. Ray in the first book seemed like a much more amiable guy.
