It all comes down to the truth. Much like the character in one of his best-selling books, Andy Andrews is first and foremost a Noticer. Sometimes, all one needs is a little perspective and Andy has been providing that perspective to some of the world’s most influential companies and organizations for the last 20 years. His ability to transform people by their own understanding and desires has made him loved by millions. Now, Andy Andrews brings his lessons and perspective into the important arena of government, citizenship, and what it means to completely uphold the truth.
If the truth is what sets us free, what does it mean to live in a society where truth is absent? How do truth and lies in the past shape our destiny today? Through the lens of the Holocaust, best-selling author Andy Andrews examines the critical need for truth in our relationships, our communities, and our government. In this compact, nonpartisan book, Andrews urges listeners to be “careful students” of the past, seeking accurate, factual accounts of events and decisions that illuminate choices we face now. By considering how the Nazi German regime was able to carry out over 11 million institutional killings between 1933 and 1945, Andrews advocates for an informed population that demands honesty and integrity from its leaders and from each other.

Knowledge is knowing the way. Wisdom is looking for an alternative, more interesting road to get there. Audiobooks are that road.
"Quick and Powerful"
Short and sweet. Okay, maybe not so sweet. How can killing 11 million people be sweet? [author:Andy Andrews|31934] doesn't sugarcoat this short novella. Actually the meat of the book is all done in the first half. At the end of this short listen you will come to realize that complacency is akin to murder. During the Holocaust it was the murder of 11 million people, 6 million were Jews. Today complacency is the murder of lifestyles, freedom, security and choices. Democracy is only as good as the voters and the leaders those voters put in power. Following and believing our politicians blindly can and did lead to the death of millions of people throughout our world at different times and in different countries. This timely book, albeit small, has a giant message to tell "The Truth Matters More Thank You Think".
"Every responsible adult and teen should read this!"
I've only heard the audio version and it was great and very easy to understand.

How to not pay attention and let people you don't know, in government, control your life and the life of your children
This is a must read for those that care about the future of their children and this country
"Not What I Expected"
very successful marketing
It amazing how Andy Andrews could look at such a horrible situation and weed through it and show how the holocaust could happen in any country - not just Nazi Germany. An opinion held by a very small percentage of the country was marketed so well, that few realized the scope of Hitler's plan until it was too late to stop it.
"An important read for our time"
It's very difficult to fully grasp the importance of this work...Andrews has outdone himself again, and this work is critical, not only for understand a dark period in world history, but more important for understanding how this could actually happen in our own time and place.
"This should be required reading for everyone."
Yes, the most important thing is the truth, and the truth is being withheld from all Americans.
Alike in value and different in subject is Amity Schlaes "The Forgotton Man" Both books are based on how we are manipulated by the people we elect. Both happened in approximately the same time frame and both have scary parralells with today. We must take care that we make wise decisions in whom we can trust to lead us.
I have not.
The interview with the author was very telling. He is, in my estimation, a very honest person who truely wants the best for our country, by getting the electorate informed and engaged.
"Solid!"
deep insight to a truth about our world and ourselves.
the challenge to be a question asker and not just an answer giver.
his connection with the content is authentic.
"The next great president of the U.S. will be one who asks the best questions not the one who gives the best answers."
It shook me up in a good way!
"WAKE UP AND TAKE ACTION!"
I'd listen again to remind me to be actively involved in choosing leaders.
Actually Andy Andrews is the reader of his own work. This is not a fiction work, but a tool to motivate people to think about what kind of leaders they want and to do something about it.
It is not necessarily a scene, but at the end of the audio version there is an interview with Andy about why he wrote this short book.
We really need to share this book with as many people as possible during this particular election year.
"Wow this is a must read/listen"
This is a must read for all. It is a warning for us all and goes beyond never forget. It would do well to keep it in mind regarding current politicians and goverments as well.
"very serious book, history could repeat itself,"
it makes you think have we learned anything from the past,
how people are swayed by a talker, instead of deeds.
he has a great voice,and brings story,alive
must we keep doing the same thing or can we change.

"A well crafted lie will always win out"
If people are lied to enough, they will believe as evidenced by the manner in which the Third Reich was able to conduct systematic and industrial genocide.
