For me, this book had it all - good story, great character development, comedy and heat! I literally couldn't stop listening and stayed up well into the night to finish. Also, the narration is great! This was, by far, my favorite of the series.

This was a really great story, well written, well read by the narrator. The chemistry between the 2 main characters was intense! Some laugh-out-loud parts, especially with the "aunts".

Good narration and fun plot points didn't do much to mask that there were parts in this book that just didn't make sense--like how they main character is supposed to be so smart but then is nonsensically blackmailed--more than once! Same goes for the pace of the relationship, which seems to happen within a week.

Entertaining enough, but not exactly smart chick lit. I'm also not sure why the title or "cover art" are what they are--it doesn't really have anything to do with the story. So wierd! They even mention red heels a few times in the book, yet the cover model is wearing black. I haven't listened to anything else from this author, but it just seems like this book was kind of slapped together and just makes enough sense to pass.

The blending of humor, romance and intrigue allows the reader to go on a journey where they cannot predetermine what will happen next, but thoughout there is a smile on the readers face. There's no way to predict what the end will be, but the journey keeps the listener held to the end.

When Mr. Mac and Nessa are shut in the vault and discover there is a secret way out.

The Madi Gras Party at "The Doll House" is my favorite scene.

I was specially moved when Jeremy discovered that in a romance, the only way to becove a real winner is to give up control.

I really got a kick out of these 2 old Aunties. Would lhave liked to have seen the bank manager get more of a pay back. But still enjoyed the story.

Nice story I guess, wish it made more sense and the rushed ending was trite to say the least.

The diversity of the charactors pulled me into the story.

The title is decieving, it's a must listen.......I listened to it twice simply because I enjoyed it so much.

My first Christina Dodd book. I loved the story, the characters and the narrator. Each character is very unique and Natalie Ross is right on with the voices and tempo of the book. I have listened to this book three times and I will listen to it again because it is so enjoyable. Definitely worth the credit.

WARNING: cliche ahead! I completely judged this book by the cover. Fortunately, the writing and dialogue nuances were so perfectly written without being a gaffe, I was pleasantly surprised! I lot of that was probably helped by the narrator who had the a wonderful tempo, inflections and Cajun accent. Great story!

The whole New Orleans ambiance filled with the mystery of New Orleans and Madi Gras. You never know what's going to pop up at you!!

I loved the whole New Orleans atmosphere, the warmth, the mixture of the personalities you would find in New Orleans

I loved the performance of each character. You were able distinguished the characters. Great performance.

I loved Miss Mattie and the Doll Sisters. Nessa, Nessa!! The reflection of Hurricane Katrina and their will to live life to its fullest inspite of disaster. Never thought the bank bandits were Hester and Colister Southern Bells!!! Being a Yankee who is now a Southerner I really enjoyed this book.

Great book. The shoes on the cover should have been red pumps!!!
