Angels' Blood: Guild Hunter, Book 1

This is the first book in Nalini Singh's Guild Hunters series.
Singh's main charater is a kick-butt, kinda girl. She is a "Born" Vampire Hunter. And she is the best there is. Her life is going fine, until she is hired by the very sexy, Archangel, Raphael. (who knew wings could be hot?)

I can't wait for the next Guild Hunter book called "Archangel's Kiss" to come out.

Singh is also the author of the Psy-Changeling Series. But, I don't think any books in that series are offered as audiobooks.

Not having read anything but this Author, the reviews are what tempted me to give it a try. I am not a fan of cheesy romances or books of this genre that can be just one sexual escape after another. I mean, come on, how bout a page turning plot that happens to have a hot romantic story to it too. And this is what Singh delivers. This book is sexy and riviting with an interesting original take on the angel/vampire story. I found this writer much better than others like Christine Feehan or Karen Moning who i found utterly predictable and boring. Loved it. So much so that i went out and bought the second of the series (which was equally well written!) Shame on Audible for not carring more books from this series. i have every intention of looking into the psy/changling series by Singh through other vendors. You wont regret dropping a credit on this one.

Singh is incredible. This book is so well written, the characters so real, that it will blow you away. Justine Eyre's contribution cannot be understated. The timber of her voice is spot on, and so perfectly realizes the horror and attraction Elena feels. What amazes me most is how chilling and alien Raphael is, even during the steamier scenes. You feel his otherness, his lack of humanity, and it's beautifully horrifying. Nalini Singh has a new devoted fan. Brilliant.

I am so happy that we finally get Nalini Singh on Audible. I have asked on several occasions and I guess the rights were finally bought by Tantor Media. I know that her next in this series, ARCHANGEL'S KISS is supposed to be released on June 28Th. I hope that the PSY/CHANGELING series is bought and available to us as well. Nalini is an AWESOME writer in the Paranormal Romance genre. I have read Angel's Blood several times and love it and now listening, the narrator, Justine Eyre is doing a very good job. I read at Tantor Media that Justine is also narrating Archangel's Kiss. Thank you Audible for bringing us Nalini Singh.YIPPIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

I was so pleased to see Angels Blood come out as an audio book at Audible.com! Then even more than pleased to have the book narrated so well.

I admit I was nervous that the narrator wouldn't do the book justice as Angels Blood is an all time favorite read for me. But Justine Eyre does a fabulous job! Her interpretation of each character's personality and tone was perfect to my ears.

The narration started out at a faster pace than what I'm used to but I quickly became accustomed to it, then I was totally lost in the story and loved every minute of it.

I've read Angels Blood twice and now listened to it as an audio book, and I still want to do it all over again! I pick up something new about the "world" Nalini Singh has built, or one of the characters each time. Now I can't wait for the audio of Archangels Kiss coming out at the end of next month, June 2010.

A previous reviewer stated “Singh is better than KMM” well that was like throwing down the gauntlet; I had to get this book to see if that could possibly be true. Let me save you the experience, it’s not true. However, I am not going to slam this author’s work. I judged this book on its own merit. I was entertained for the moment; I was not on the edge of my seat wondering who or what the main male character really was from 10/31/06 to 1/18/11 and wishing he could jump off the pages of the book, “LOL”. This authors’ take on Angels and Vampires was intriguing. This book was well thought out and well written. It’s a great book in its own right. “This book is no fairy tale, pun intended”, but it’s really good paranormal romance fiction. I did enjoy this book and will purchase more from this author and to mention...J. Eyre did an excellent job with the narration of this book.

Elena Deveraux is strong and sexy without being too perfect. You can say the same thing about Raphael. These books by Nalini Singh contain just the right amount of mystery, action and sex. Even though they portray an altered universe it has a great base in our reality. Justine Eyre does a great job as narrator! I am definitely hooked on this series!
Got this first book on sale, it sat in my library for a while, I did not know if it was something I would like. Then the Shock-tober sale came along and decided to listen so if it was good I could get more of the series on sale (love those sales)!!! FYI, bought all they had on sale. Been listening to them one after another, it is working well because there is not a lot of “time” passes between books.

I just loved it. Probably isn't for everyone but it's definitely my cup of tea.Or angels. There are angels, vampires, hunters and everybody is very pretty and sexy although psychologically messed up but who isn't,right? The story is set on Earth where Angels evolved together with humans and to survive they have to make vampires who ,to survive drink human blood who are last on the food chain. Sucks but it makes story unique and fun.Worth a credit.

I love Nalini Singh's style and I have all the audiobooks available of her PsyChangelling series. I tried this one hoping to see a similar style but I was disappointed. This is a very dark series. Very explicit murder scenes are detailed and it was gross. And let me tell you I'm not easily grossed out (I'm a True Blood fan). The romantic parts although few, were very good but they got lost in torn bodies and lots of blood. And then hearing about evil angels is kind of strange. To top it of the reader's voice can be a little annoying after a while. She screeches! I don't think I'll get the other books of this series. But I do recommend Ms. Singh's Psy Changelling series which is just perfect!

I was so excited to see Nalini on Audible! I hadn't yet read Angel's Blood so I snapped it up. Fabulous! Please give us all of Nalini's books on audio!
