When Shelly Brockman walked into his office, Sheriff Dare Westmoreland could almost taste the sweet, steamy passion they'd once shared. Then Shelly informed him he was the father of her son, the unruly preteen he'd arrested that day, and his fantasies turned to fury!
Shelly had returned to her hometown in Georgia to save her son from the mean streets of Los Angeles. Getting to know his father would be good for her son. But would being so close to Dare - the only man to make her pulse race - reopen a wounded heart that had never healed? Or, would this be her final chance to win Dare's love?

"Dare...Those Westmoreland men!!"
I liked it. The Westmoreland men are great. I like them even better than the Madaris family.
"Good"
I was not expecting this topic so it was my fault for not reading into it more. I like the general story, however, thought it pretty predictable.
Not at this time.
When Dare tells A.J. he has made him the happiest man alive.
No
I am a 49 year old, mother of 2, grandmother of 4 who has just decided to peel back my good girl, and let me bad girl out to play. I've been married for 26 years. It time to explore my inner bad girl. I just hope my husband can handle it.
"MY OTHER FAMILY"
YES, BECAUSE I THINK EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW MY OTHER FAMILY. THESE MEN ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD.
WHEN AJ TOLD DARE HE WAS HIS FATHER. THEN HE FOUND OUT THAT HIS FATHER REALLY LOVED HIM. I CRIED!!!!
YES, THEY ARE ALL GREAT TO LISTEN TO.
CHASE, STONE, THORN, AND STORM. I REALLY WANT TO MEET ALL OF THEM. READING THESE BOOKS, I HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE THESE MEN.
I CAN'T WAIT TO HERE ALL OF MRS JACKSON'S BOOKS ON AUDIBLE. HURRY!!!!
"Don't bother"
Maybe a teenager for the storyline but it was too sexual for a young teen.
I just make a bad decision to purchase this book. Some that like this type book may find it okay.
Anyone
Boring and predictable. Too much boring sex.
"Could not finish"
I could not finish this listen for a few reasons. One by chapter 4 it was already so predictable that I did not care anymore & the narrotor while good had such a strong accent "southern draw" on the main characters that I just could not take it anymore.
Poor choice.
"Just Egh"
It wasn't for me. I enjoy a story with a bit more character development. This story was someone looking for a little light reading. I found my mind drifting.
I don't know. This just isn't my type of story.
I would give her another try. She didn't have a whole lot to work with. And even though a worman was reading somehow the character of Dare was the strongest.
I don't know if I would cut a particular character. It just needed a stronger story and the characters it did have more fleshed out.
This book was on my wish list for almost a year. And I just never managed to get it using one of my Credits. Well, when I saw it on the $4.95 Special, I thought I was in luck...I'm just glad I spent only $4.95 for it. I don't feel so bad.
"It was on sale!!!!"
No. The story was very predictable. Once you have read the publisher’s summary, then you have read the entire book.
No.
No.
Very breathy...too many pauses... irritating.
"Should have paid attention"
No. This was $4.95 special purchase, but I should have paid attention to the narrator. Brenda Jackson is ok, but the narrator, Madison Vaughn, is so awful, it's painful to listen to her. I speeded up the pace, which helped, but the delivery is too stagey, with too many breathey, emotional pauses. Very irritating.
Yes, if the narrator was different.
A totally different narrator.
No.
book diva
"it was really good listen"
that dare was going to be there for his child no matter what
when a.j. called him dad
i didnt have a favorite one but the little kid got on my nevres

"The Book is GREAT"

This book was great; however, Madison Vaughn was HORRIBLE. What's really sad and depressing is that it appears she's the chosen Brenda Jackson narrator.
