In his previous turn as the machine who protects the young John Connor from a more sophisticated, smarter Terminator, Schwarzenegger brought millions of people into theaters, grossing more than $200 million for Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
Now, in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, John Connor is older - his mother, the courageous Sara Connor, is dead - and he is still a target for killer machines from the future. So the human resistance sends back the Terminator he knows, who saved his life when he was just a boy, to protect him again.
But this time there's a new, even more lethal Terminator model: the TX. And it's not a Terminator, but a Terminatrix - in the shape of a woman and capable of techno-tricks that make all previous Terminators seem slow and stupid.
If Connor doesn't survive, the future is lost. Only his wits, the first girl he ever kissed, and an old Terminator, who happens to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger, can save him...and us.

"Terminator 3 is AWESOME!!!"
I felt as if I was right in the middle of the action! It was a real treat to hear Arnold's actual voice used liberally through out the book. This is fast paced hair raising action that allows you to explore the characters in much greater depth than in the movies. A must read (listen) :-) even if you have never seen one of the Terminator flicks.
Very enjoyable, Thanks for bringing us this title Audible!
"All of what a movie can not offer"
While this book was very similar to the movie, there were some differences. Along with those differences, this book added the nuances that movies can't provide. The thoughts and emotions (or lack there of) of the characters. Very good read or listen, especially for those who saw or will see the movie.
"Very enjoyable!!"
I'm a huge fan of the Terminator series, and I saw the movie before reading this book. I thought the book would be a quickie rehash of the movie, but it was actually very well done, well read and a blast to listen to! Highly recommended!!!
"Great Compliment to the Movie"
The reader was very good. The book complimented the movie very well filling in alot that could not be told in the movie. I plan on seeing the movie later this week to see if what I learned in the book was in the movie.
"liked the movie, liked the book"
this book was exactly like watching the movie, from dialogue to the explination of explosions. if you enjoyed the movie, ull like listening to the book. i thought the reader was pretty good too!
"Good Book"
The book is good, but the reading is starting out slow, sometimes hard to follow when jumping between current and future. The book would have been better as a dramatized reading with 2 or 3 readings playing the roles.
