His name is Rafer Callahan. He was a kid from the wrong side of the tracks who fought through life the only way he knew how: with his fists. But Rafer never meant to bring any harm to Cambria Flannigan, the girl—the lover—whose sister he’d been unable to save….
Cami lost her sister in the brutal murders that rocked her hometown so many years ago. Some still believe that Rafe and his friends Logan and Crowe were involved. But how could Rafe—who haunted her girlish dreams, then her adult fantasies—be a killer? That is the question that keeps her up at night.
Now a prosperous ranch owner, Rafe is trying to build a new legacy for himself. It’s finally time to settle the score with Cami—and make her his. But old wounds open up with a series of new murders… and each of the victims has a connection to Rafe, Logan, and Crowe. With suspicion, fear, and loyalty tearing her apart, Cami is once again at risk of losing her heart—or her life.

"Eroctica or romance?"
I was a little surprised that this was an erotic novel (didnt get that from the summary) but once you get passed that, the story line is actually very good and it keeps one guessing. Unfortunally it is also a little repetitive - and no not the sex scenes, but the background story is retold so many times that it actually gets to be a little anoying and in the end the suspense does not really get resolved. It seems that you have to read the next book to find out what really is going on (havent done that yet, so not entirely sure that you will know after that one either - since there is three male characters tied to the plot, and only two books available at this time)
The narrator could be better...
But still - I will read or listen to the next (two?) books in order to find out what is going on and who is behind the killings.
“I love all genres of books, however when I listen to audio books as I clean, garden, drive they are better with a lot of heat!
"I enjoyed the book"
The characters are interesting and drew me in, the narrator is pretty good and the sex scenes are graphic and fairly hot. The details get mixed up when it comes to timelines though and that is a bit of a hindrance in the beginning.
It's a fairly convoluted plot when you get right down to it and seems pretty formulamatic I still love most of her books and characters.
Say something about yourself!
"Great"
Yes
Rafe
Intense book. Suspense, Danger, Pain and loss and love.
I liked the danger and suspense the sex part is wild but hey I still liked it. Maybe they should put a warning on for the explicit sexually part. As they do with others. But if you have read Lora’s other books you know they are part of her books. I just listened to the 2nd book. Deadly Sins and it's better than book one. But yes it is very sexually graphic. But in some books mixed with the suspense and danger it all comes together for me. I like most of her books.
"Liked the story, confusing on all the who is who."
Hard to follow all the relatives and why and where and when, (don't see the point in this) I liked the story line even though the story is not resolved. Should have read this one before "Deadly Sins", did not know it was continued in both books. I liked the narrator, she reads a lot of Lora Leigh's books. Overall a good book and will read the next one and hopefully will be the end and find out who the bad guy is.
Also when reading the description about the book, it states the guys were friends, not cousins. Weird.
"Hard to follow!"
I tried very hard to find something positive about this book - but I just found the storyline very confusing. Usually Clare Claremont gives life to all the books she narrates but I think even she was lost with this one.
"Just this side of porn"

"A little confusing...but typical Lora Leigh"
I was a bit confused about the plot of this book...I know several people who have read the hard copy and said that there was an insane amount of typos and timeline errors in it. I'm glad i decided on the audio version of this book! but it was still a bit confusing though..but it's pretty much what I expect from Lora Leigh so it was fine.
"I didn't realise this would be porn!"
If you're looking for erotica with a story, then this is it. It is NOT a thriller/romance as the synopsis implied (well at least to me). I guess (now) I am a little prudish but if you like stories with words like "p--sy"and "p--ck" then you may like this book. I have only listened to a little as the repetitive sex scenes put me off but the story line was rather good at the start. I could imagine that it could have had possibility. The narrator took quite a bit of getting used to though, as it is rather a dry performance and she's a slow reader. Once I got used to it it wasn't so stressful. I would say that this is personal preference though as I speak rather quickly and like to listen to a lot of emotion in stories.
"Worst book i've ever read...."
NO
This book is a rauncy porno with no story line. The timeline is all off...I will never read this author's books again.
"Repetition, repeat, repetition"
I am not sure if the author thought her readers couldn't remember what the story was about, or if she needed to remind herself. I have never read or listened to a book that repeated and repeated what had already happened. I get that most romance books are not great literature, but its readers are not dim witted.
The sex scenes are hot, but again the scenes are rehashed. First from his point of review, then her point of review and then again.
I have enjoyed Lora Leigh's other books, but this one made me crazy.
