But dreams can have a cruel price. For Susannah, daughter of a bigwig in a competing company, success means losing her family. The trade-off is unimagined courage and a passion that will enrich her dramatically. Is it worth it?

"Fun and lively." (Publishers Weekly)
"Fun"
This was fun to listen to and brought me back to my early computer days. It may be most appealing to romance loving computer nerds such as myself. The comparison to Apple were obvious, but fun for reminiscing over those early days of the personal computer.
"Not worth the 2 credits"
I have listen to all but Glitter Baby - I held out on this one because it was 2 credits, personally this was not worth the credits - it was not one SEP better books. I did not find the story to be interesting and the characters mundane ??? I am a big fan of Anna Fields but even did not enjoy her reading this book. I wish I could get at least 1 credit back
"Not One of Her Bests"
Not one of SEPs best, but was still a good listen. I did find myself drifting off in the middle a little bit, but would still recommend this read - after you've listened to all the others!

"Great love story, great sense of humor...."
one of my favorites
the humerous bantering between the the two lovers
she is a great narrator for Suzanne E Phillips, always portrays her wit, and edgy remarks
had to read/listen to the enitre book in one sitting....

"Not your average SEP But Still Very Good"
Yes, the book had a interesting plot and a complicated romance. I really liked the descriptions of all of the technical aspects and I felt like I had a better understanding of the early computer industry after listening to this book.
Anna Fields was amazing as usual, I recommend all of the books Anna Fields has narrated.
Towards the end there was a lot of drama and it kept me riveted. I love when a book can accomplish that.
This is not SEP's usual book but it is one of her earlier ones and in my opinion one of her better ones. It doesn't follow the same format as some of her newer books and although I like those books too, this one has more substance.
"Susan Elizabeth Phillips dose it again!"
This is one of the top 5
Susannah Faulconer over comes a number of issues and grows as a person. It was frustrating at times to watch her be defenseless against her father, her fiance and then Sam, then find her voice and her back bone!
It took a little bit of getting used to that somewhat lock jaw tone in Anna voice but she did a great job of distinguishing each character.
This would be hard to decide, the book covered the computer revolution, not just the revolution of its main characters.
Susan Elizabeth Phillips never disappoints! Her books are always fabulous! check out her match maker series. I love that her characters flow through so many books!
"I loved this book. Read it years ago."
The story. My profession was computers and I love Susan Elizabeth Phillips.
The ending.
I have loved every book she narrated. I felt like I lost a friend when she died.
I have a very fast paced life. Audio books are an awesome alternative for me. Long road trips, working out and housework arn't a bore.
"Loved the story. Love the author, again and again"
Go ahead, spend the credit. If you love SEP you will love this as well. As usual. I use her comedic comments in my social life. She is clever, therefore I get a double whamy!
"oldie but goodie"
I am a big SEP fan... but for some reason had never read Hot Shot! really enjoyed it!
