Publisher's Summary

In the trauma center of Atlanta's busiest hospital, Sara Linton treats the city's poor, wounded, and unlucky - and finds refuge from the tragedy that rocked her life in rural Grant County. Then, in one instant, Sara is thrust into a frantic police investigation, coming face-to-face with a tall, driven detective and his quiet female partner.

In Undone, three unforgettable characters from Karin Slaughter's New York Times best-selling novels Faithless and Fractured collide for the first time, entering an electrifying race against the clock - and a duel with unspeakable human evil.

In the backwoods of suburban Atlanta, where Sara's patient was found, local police have set up their investigation. But Georgia Bureau of Investigation detective Will Trent doesn't wait for the go-ahead from his boss - he plunges through police lines, through the brooding woods, and single-handedly exposes a hidden house of horror. Then he finds another victim.

Wresting the case away from the local police chief, Will and his partner, Faith Mitchell - a woman keeping explosive secrets of her own - are called into a related investigation. Another woman has been snatched. For the two cops out on the hunt, for the doctor trying to bring her patient back to life, the truth hits like a hammer: The killer's torture chamber has been found, but the killer is still at work.

    "Very Well Done"

Like the other books in this series, Ms. Slaughter has written a story that plugs something really evil into a good mystery.

It's like after about 20 years as a police officer someone chooses 6 or 7 of the worst crimes experienced and writes about them.

These books are not for the weak at heart, but they are good choices for mystery lovers.

This particular narrator does not appeal to me. It is a shame all the books in the series weren't read by the same narrator, but as usual there seems no rhyme or reason how narrators are chosen for these audio books. This narrator took this book down a star for me.

    "SERIES IN WRONG ORDER!!!!!!"

Love the books, great series.....but I was disappointed to listen to Broken before Undone. Read/listen to Undone first. Broken happens after the Undone novel. After reading Triptych and Fractured, I was excited to start Broken. Right from the beginning, I felt like I missed a book. I went back to the series list, just to make sure I downloaded the right book. Audible, please fix. Triptych, Fractured, Undone, Broken. Starting Criminal now.

A former accountant and staff trainer. Now retired, I enjoy knitting and weaving. I enjoy intelligent, insightful books with lead characters I respect. I deplore novels fille with gratuitous violence and depraved sexual behavior written to shock the reader.

What did you like best about Undone? What did you like least?

Narrator was quite good. Main characters were realistic people and not

Would you ever listen to anything by Karin Slaughter again?

Unlikely. The book description and other reviews did not allude to the sadistic, ugly narrative.

"Difficult premise, well written, well performed"

What the bad guy does to these women is horrific, but if you can watch a Criminal Minds on TV....or a CSI, you've seen worse. Story is very well written, narration is excellent (surprisingly there are 2 times a short section of the dialogue repeats exactly). Loved Will and Faith and their unusual partnership. Learned more about anorexia than I'd ever heard and it really opened my eyes to my relationship with an anorexic friend. Anyway, I recommend this book. I enjoyed it very much (although I knew who did it very early) and am looking for another Karin Slaughter book right now.

    "Great Story"

This was my first time to listen to a Karin Slaughter book... It was great!
This author was right up there with my favorites. Tami Hoag, J.D. Robb, Tess Gerritsen to name a few
It was one of those that you couldn't stop listening to.

    "I was NOT disappointed!"

"Undone" brings in the personalities and pasts of some of my favorite characters in fiction. As far as suspense, it continues throughout the entire novel while still holding the interest with the relationship dynamics that constantly evolve. This one made me go back to some of the previous novels with these fascinating characters to further explore what makes them tick! I loved it!

What made the experience of listening to Undone the most enjoyable?

I am enjoying Karin Slaughter's work. However, I am happy I read the reviews on the books before I listened to them; Undone should be listed BEFORE Broken, not AFTER as it is in audible 'view series'. I would have been disappointed to have read them in the wrong order.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Undone?

I am enjoying the unveiling of Will Trent and Amanda Wagner.

"No Kidding-Book Is Out of Order in Series!!"

By all means read the reviews for, "Broken." The book is in the wrong order. I'm not sure if the author chose to have us read it in this order of if someone at Audible has made a mistake but it should be switched. "Broken" needs to be #3 in the series and "Undone" should be #4. I wish I would have read through the reviews to find that out but I purchased it right away and looked at the reviews later on.

Book was good and yes, it was more descriptive in the violence but the story was good and the ending was surprising, just what a thriller/mystery book should be. I don't think anyone would be disappointed using a credit or paying outright for this book.
