On Breathing: The Master Key to Self Healing, you will learn a complete course of eight breathing exercises that Dr. Weil uses in his own life, and has prescribed to hundreds of patients over the past two decades. Dr. Weil reports that these breathing exercises get more favorable responses from patients than anything else he teaches.
To learn the art of healthy breathing, Dr. Weil turned to Eastern traditions, including yoga, which view the breath as a vital link to prana, or the energy of the universe. In easy-to-follow language, he explains the secret of breathwork's power over your health, and its remarkable ability to influence - and even reprogram - the nervous system. From increasing energy to lowering blood pressure to improving circulation to beating anxiety disorders without drugs, here is your guide to the benefits of breathwork, presented by the best selling author and physician who has taken the miracle out of self healing, and made it available to us all.

"Very good one!!"
This is one of those audiobooks that you actually WANT to listen to all in one sitting. Listen to the whole thing and do the exercises. You will not be disappointed.
I found myself bursting with clear energy and peace of mind after practicing these techniques and listening to the music... yes there is some nice calming music.
"Worth checking out!!!"
Definately worth checking out if interested in breathing practices. I've been using the practices and find very rewarding.
"Best breathwork exercises I've found"
I usually resist anything that sounds too new age-y, and often times breathing meditation guides tend to veer in that direction. But Andrew Weil presents the material like a doctor would, highlighting how the breathwork relates to overall health and the nervous system. And through this, he gently opens doors to a deeper spiritual connection. His voice is soothing, and the tempo of the breathing exercises is excellent. Highly recommend it.
"Excellent"
This book was very informative and helpful. Not a "read it once and put it down book". This is an everyday instruction manual. I loved it.
"Excellent book"
A must for everyone living in this fast paced world. Do yourself a favor and download this book. You will not regret it.
"Dr Weil is so calming"
So simple yet so powerful. Great techniques to calm and soothe. Do not recommend listening to this while driving!! lol
"For the beginner"
This book is good and breathing exercises are very helpful. But if you have had some yoga training it is a bit basic. I was left wanting more for the price.
"Better read"
I should have got the print not the audio for this one. You really need to practice what the Doctor is talking about and that's not such a good thing to do while driving.

"Not for diabetics..."
who are restricted from intake of New Age fudge. Lots of the typical semantic illogic: "breath and spirit have the same root in Chinese; therefore, dealing with the breath is dealing with the spirit." Please. Never done Weil before, but put him right up there with quacks like Chopra and Dyer... But now I must make some wordplay myself. This selection is "a waste of breath." It's "all blow and no go..." O, but Weil does point out that brandy is also a "spirit," so instead of trying to get through this very long hour and a half, enjoy a nice glass of the amber stuff; by his logic, drinking brandy should also be healing to the mind and soul.
